After changing plots I lost my half grown flow trees.
What can I do?

Change plots back to your other plots- flow trees like to plot hop during their active growth cycles, the trees are on another plot. Once you locate them, hop back to where you want them without watering or picking them up/moving them and they should stick where you want them

A way to avoid this is to stay on your flow tree plot while they're growing, which is on the 6am timestamp

Adding combat to Palia would be a very bad idea IMHO. Not only would it lead to toxic behavior, but it would also ruin the vibe of the game.
When you fight, you risk dying. And if your character dies, now what ? Do you lose if forever ? That'd be annoying. Or do you have some healer pulling out some flow magic out of nowhere to get you back on your feet ? But then, if you cannot really die, then what becomes of NPCs being afraid of losing a loved one ? There's no mystery and no danger anymore : you just charge into battle, complain about the healers and tanks, die, complain about the devs and the lag, get back up on your feet, rinse and repeat.
I love Palia for having it's own flavor, it's own atmosphere. I would hate it if it become just like any other MMO out there : combat, hunting, gardening, fishing, gathering, and crafting. We've seen that so many times it's boring. I definitely would love Palia to develop its own atmosphere, even if that means not pleasing everyone.
This being said, Sifuu has already asked me several times who I think she should train in sword fighting so... who knows what the future holds...

And something that is more optional, and in their own area/zone.

Yeah, and that's not something I picture in Palia at all. And when I mention dungeons that are optional, I really do mean instances. That are more like co-op puzzles you can do with players, or NPC fetch quests inside said instance, or mining a lot of something etc etc, and rewards are just more materials than youd get if you spent time running around hunting/mining/bug catching etc.

Other ppl have had ideas/concepts in discussions when we've theorycrafted too, in that regard, as well! Like a big bee 'boss', that lets out multiple little critters that you can catch and stuff too

Combat can be added in various ways and could help s6 expand on ways for people to hunt since not everyone is able or comfortable with a bow and arrow. Some would like to see flow or traps... Even melee
Combat over time has had its meaning evolve like I won't deny I would love to see a expansion of choices since bows cool and all but palia can have all sorts of options if they like that could link into other skills since currently they all funnel into cooking

It'd probably make it feel more fluid or better for me, and if there was a magical spell that would auto target and go for an enemy, it'd probably feel more accessible.

I agree that hunting is a form of combat. It is well established into the lore of the game.
It's totally within your rights to enjoy combat, of course, no judgement here.
And, you are right, the devs can add combat. But the question is : is it because we can do this that we should ? What would be the narrative which brings combat to a peaceful village ? The whole setting would be rendered torn apart.
But, perhaps, there could be another area where combat is lore-compliant ? An expedition against the Grimalkin pirates, perhaps ?

To each their own, but I do think it’s important to consider that not all PVE = combat. Disney Dreamlight Valley has “night thorns” that obstruct the player’s path and you have to remove them with magic. Sometimes you may have to treat it like a maze or puzzle and figure out which thorn you need to remove first. That can be considered PVE. Yeah! Like stuff like this is always what I mean when i talk about 'combat' and the like. I don't really think about health bars. I wouldn't mind it, but i know it doesn't fit Palia. That would completely change the vibe of the game--

But there's always different ways and concepts that they could do, like we mentioned! Traps, debuffs, etc. It'd also just be different/variety, which could be nice!

I'm not going to lie, the idea that Palia is peaceful is what got me so hooked on palia. I enjoy adventuring and not worrying about getting jumpscared by a territorial mob

This is mostly called snipe/distance hunting. It's best for almost everything but you also need to be wary about people running around

Keep in mind though if you adjust your sensitivity higher it makes it easier to hunt animals but it makes it harder to catch bugs when you're aiming so choose your battles lol

Just do a quick scan and if you see someone with a bow out then it's probably someone snipe hunting, but typically if they've already got a few shots in they won't care if others shoot

This ^^. Typically I don't get irritated unless someone purposely follows me to scare off animals (which I don't get a lot but it does happen), most of the time I let people know the area I'm hunting in and to just be careful around that area
