If you keep crashing, I'd recommend putting in a !support ticket. There are other switch players who have also crashed, so making them aware of a client based issue will help them fix it faster

What I mean is (if I remembe correctly) more rounds mean more tickets for non winners, earn more tickets if you complete 3 sets of the same item. Underground rules are get 3 sets as fast as possible because you get 2 coins for winning and 1 coin for not for every game - hence the faster rounds.

Definitely agree. I understand needing to offer different purchase incentives to fund the game. They could even go the route of communicating a commitment to bug fixes in a fun way by having some purchases or "club" or something that uses the bug catching mechanic of the game. You pay to be part of a bug catching club with cool nameplate and gear or something, which culiminates in a big patch/update that is focuses 100% on bug fixes and polish and nothing else

From the development side of things, trying to sell a performance/bug fix only patch is near impossible to stakeholders of the business. Those stakeholders only want new & shiny things that bring in new business. The compromise is spending a mixed amount of time (something like 80/20 or 90/10) chipping away at a prioritized list of bugs/performance issues and re-evaluating that list every patch.

That is a good point. In the case of a free to play game, there is less emphasis on retention since there isn't a direct monetary tie to retention (monthly subs for all customers) and more emphasis on the customer acquisition funnel (more fresh people ready to spend their first dollars on things). Obviously a balance has to be struck, and stakeholders tend to care less about loyalty and more about new numbers. But perhaps there is a way to combine fresh new things in the bug catching mechanics of the game (new bugs, new gear, new decor, etc) along with a well communicated commitment to "catching the bugs in Palia" with a big bug fixing pass as part of that update (more than the usual) that threads the needle for both things that sends the message "enjoy catching all these new bugs while we go out and catch the old ones". Or something... haha

Oh I definitely misread the dev blog regarding the new tint. Though I'm fairly sure patch 0.189 won't be the Elderwoods patch since they said it will hopefully release in Q2. So I doubt this is the only update between now and April (at the absolute earliest). Also, unless they are being weird, a large update like Elderwoods should be numbered 0.19. So 0.189 is probably what we get between now and Elderwoods.

But there are also fast travel board locations. There should be a marker on the map, that looks like a horse shoe. If you interact with that, there should be an option for Fairgrounds, I believe.

For those who don't recall or weren't here for last year, I just want to mention that when playing hotpot at the LNY event the rules are a little different. You get awarded more tickets for getting 3 of the same tile than you do for just getting a set of different tiles from the same colour. This may change your strategy when playing.
