I dont remember exactly if your friend should be in your plot but is... you need press H and in the setting of your plot in "security"
have "permissions" and you put "add players" and select your friend like editor

They dont need to be on your plot or even online to give editor perms. Just do it in plot setting menu. Once they have editor perms they can only move things you have placed down. They cant place things from their inventory
