I start with a single room. What do I want that room to be? Ok now what would I put in that type of room IRL? And what in game looks the best for the style you want? Add in furniture, baywindows, or not, floors, walls, then start to fill in wall decor, rugs, smaller furniture to fill in the gaps. Then add clutter. Do it in stages. That way I don't have so much to change if I don't like it. Play with color and lighting. Lighting in game can really set off a room or even one single thing in a room.

Its really species dependant. Usually succs need alot of light yes, but my aloe vera nearly died after direct sunlight in the winter months after i moved. It prefers shade, but most my other plants will get etiolated with no direct sunlight

Kind of a mix between romaine lettuce in texture/cabbage and leeks in flavor. If you've ever had mustard greens it has that kind of an essence to it. I was afraid to use it till one of my sons chopped some up and stir fryed it with our usual mix of stir fry. Now I can't do without it.
