You can romance as many or little of the available npcs as you want. Do them one at a time or all at once. You can only wear two pins at once after getting them and can change them out as often as you like. The only thing you might see with wearing a pin or removing it is dialog from some other npcs that comment on it. None of your choices have any other impact on the game or game lore.

Cake parties are a bit complicated at first. Are you on the paliaparty app? I'd recommend signing up for an "easy" or "no ingredients" role like oven or spreader. You select a role that's "open" and then press the okay button. It should show you and whoever else has signed up with icons next to your name!

So a cake party is all about maximizing profit per person. That's why so many people sign up for it. The basics of it are this- you select a role that you have enough for, so if you are going to do sweet leaf for a 50 cake party, you need 50 sweet leaf. Then you add the person hosting in game, show up at the time, stand at your designated station (mixing table for sweet leaf example) and literally just mix one sweet leaf per round of cake. Then you each get a full batch of cakes.

It's just a tool for hosts to better consolidate all the roles and people into one place. Plus, it has a dedicated chat there.

Or you can grab an oven or spreader role- oven people just stand at the oven, wait for this icon (batter) to show up, then bake one layer of cake and pocket it. That's it! No ingredients. Same for spreader, you wait for fruit frosting and cake layer then "spread" which doesn't take ingredients but you still get cake. Does this all make sense?

(TOS etc) The players you block, the game does a great job of keeping out of servers they are on. Same with those on your friends list. The game puts you on those servers. Eventually, like for me, you'll have -very- few unpleasant experiences anywhere in the game
