As far as I know ... the side quests are all triggered by discovering something. Usually shiny or glowing so you notice it. A dirt pile with a piece of something sticking out that you can pick up. (or something) Then the quest tells you to talk to someone or wait for mail to come to you. Some take triggering by something else being completed too. The quest you mention is something you find in the Remembrance garden in Kilima. Follow instructions. Picking up the object is what starts the quest. Check your quest log for instructions

There's pottery in different furniture sets and you need you use clay for it. Kilima, I think. I know, it isn't the same as an actual pottery skill.

I think the star ruby and star emerald is subjective, I have about half a dozen star emeralds just from hunting the proudhorn plush. Is the droprate actually higher for star rubies or is RNG just with holding for that one thing? Because RNG is dumb luck

Fair, I'm just saying that every person has different results with RNG. I've never got a star ruby, and thats okay. RNG is a metric for odds, not a guarantee olf them. Its why after grinding every day for sernuk plushies since they've been released, i only have a few, but some people have dozens. RNG isnt a sure thing, it's just gambling odds.

I think that’s only the case if you are trying to give stuff and you don’t have that slot unlocked. Like if the gift you’re trying to give is one of their loved gifts but you are like only lvl 1 w them. But if u have all their gifts slots unlocked it should still take it and count even if they haven’t told you

I believe that Chayne steals vegetables from peoples plots. He comes over to your plot in the wee hours of the morning, with a big ol' sack, and takes a few vegetables off of each plant. Not enough for you to notice right away. Just enough for you to think something seems odd come harvest time. He then goes home and smiles at his swag. "The Dragon smiles on us today..."
