I think that right near the Palia mines entrance is good because all eligible types of bugs spawn there if I’m not mistaken

Those green lines are the "safezone". The goal is to keep the Fishing Bobber (not the fish itself) within those lines while reeling in. If the bobber goes out of those lines, they turn Yellow/Red and your Fishing Line loses from its HP. If The whole hp is lost, the fish escapes.

Imo, that hook and any food that gives Fishing Zone increase buff, are the best.

Stacks up to 5 and gives you faster fish "biting".

With that buff x5, you fish 50% faster

but you can also trick the system. If you fill up your inventory with some items (not any items it must be something that doesnt drop from the pile) I usually fill up my inventory with my focus food (just split stack untill your inventory is full) don't forget about your ammo bag (you musn't have worms with you) and fill it up with your arrows so you wont get worms. and then keep relogging next to the pile untill it let's you loot. if you are able to loot and your inv is full it's eitehr a quest item or a recipe @tropic notch
