You keep hitting ZR with a specific timing between hits. It's trial and error 😊 but basically hit ZR again right at the end of the animation. (At least that's how I do it)

I've never had more than about 50 planks and about 20 logs, so having two full heavy sawmills making flow planks was a treat for me- even after 600 hours of playtime!

I've been doing hardcore mining with an Ore Compass active so I can get a ruby... I recenly set down a second Heavy Smelter so I can process all my iron and deal with the overflow

The other fun thing about the grove is that if you're the first one there, you'll often find a rare or epic bug, even outside of it's assigned spawn time! I have found 3 RTBs this way before 2am in game

Yeah! I know, it's great! I found a magic chapaa once and another epic bug another time 😁 Had more luck with getting those in the normal spawn area tho since I'm usually not first to the Grove. But it's very cool!

Once you get more iron than you know what to do with, they're great for making fine arrows for a either plushie fever or selling for a pretty decent profit. The bars alone sell well too!

Yes, and I usually make my gold bars one at a time then fill the rest of the smelter with iron so I'm not wasting afk time on 2 or 3 bars of gold instead of 1 bar and 28 iron bars

Actually, You can't really get your hoard on in Palia lol There's not enough storage room. You have to figure out for yourself what you need to store and be mindful of how much space that takes. I decided I didn't need to garden other than apple/potato. I keep 5 each of the rest of the veggies and 1 seed. Just in case. I no longer keep fish/bugs. Just the few starred ones I use for decoration.

i wouldnt save regular food if you are tight on space - its easy enough to make. things like uncommon and rare bugs/fish should try and save a couple of. but star bugs/fish can go in your lockbox or on the floor somewhere. and i also have the star foods that are exclusive to the maji market there so i dont eat them by mistake

Also, if you don't want any of those bugs or fish to be used for recipes or crafting, get the lockbox and throw them all in there- I keep 2-3 of each critter, starred and unstarred, just in case and mostly for gifting to people who need stuff for bundles!

Just had an INSANE palium run. Afte the grove, a couple of ppl on a server and I found an insane amount of palium. Like 7 in the Pavel Mine alone and way more around it and in Hideaway. I had 74 palium ores after 10 minutes! Then someone decided to get a couple of ore compasses and come back. We made a party and used up like 3 of them. At the end I ended up with 184!!! palium ores within like an hour.

its not an extra 200 to focus max though it just straight up gives you 200 focus

so if you have 1000 max focus bar you can eat 5 of these from 0 focus and it will fill you up, it doesnt increase the max to say 1200

Either Fishermen's or the coast in Kilima. I find them easier to catch if you are as far from the shoreline as possible when you cast. They jump less. And now we have way more fishing nodes, all along the coast, so many chances to get one. Just make sure you are using Glow Worms.

OK so the game does try to put you on the same server as you friends so the best thing to do to avoid this sort of thing is to send friend requests to th epeople who are helpful in chat. You know the ones that are calling out node locations and stuff. Cus those are teh sorts of people that will wait to chop a grove and are likely friends with other people that will do the same

Since it seems you're definitely fishing in a right place, and are assuredly using the correct bait I'll remind you it does not show up at night so if the time is in the bottom part of the clock is up to you if you bother fishing until light, there are three consumable items that give you fish boosting and personally I waited to even try to go after the unicorn fish (As you know one of the hardest} until I had all three, and probably my most effective advice is to party up especially if you can find a newer player. So far I have successfully done this strategy five separate times. You party up with a new player You do the skill together and eventually they're going to catch The thing that you have been hunting for weeks lol And then all you have to do is complain to a public forum like server chat or Discord you know somewhere you get heard

I like Palia fishing, because even though I’m not BAD at it, I can still tell when a fish is like particularly feisty, and I’ve had a few instances of accidentally catching fish that were high enough in quality that they caught me off guard and broke my line. And then even if you’re not good at the minigame, it’s not impossible to do it constantly, and you can add buffs and food and all kinds of stuff, to make it a tad easier.

Generally the host has the ingredients but it’s mostly only profitable if more than just one person contributes to some degree. If you have it in your chest or storage, it’ll autouse it at stations if you choose to help out that way. Most folks just choose one station to work though, yeah.

• You don't need the recipe to join a party, only the starter does
• Typically every person does one step of the baking, so there are different roles
• If you're doing a 50 cake party (which is 150 cakes) you need 50x ingredients of whatever your role is. So a person doing leaves needs 50 sweet leaf.
• Typically fruit needs to be star quality, but non-star-quality sweet leaf is fine
• It's best to lock away ingredients you don't need for your role (like apples, flour, butter, eggs ... if you're doing the leafer role of grinding sweet leaf)
• There are roles that take no ingredients (like spreader or baker)
• People are friendly and understanding. For your first time spreader is good because you need nothing and cannot possible mess up. By "mess up" I mean it's possible to burn a cake or take someone else's role. If you're trying to mix sweet leaf and the recipe steps jump around you can accidentally start making batter if you have flour butter and eggs in your inventory/storage. Spreader is the only role at the Prep Station (the rest are Mixing Station other than starter) so you cannot take someone else's role.

How are you trying to get the butterfly? I think the best way is using a buzzy jar and just hop around the stables. So Bahari Central -> Pulsewater -> Hideaway -> Kilima Central -> Bahari Central. In between run around a bit at pulsewater and hideaway to cover most of south bahari with your 200m buzzy jar vision. The purpose of going to Kilima is to change servers.

you can fish any fish with any rod as far as i know.
The better rods just have more line health and faster movement
which makes some fish hard or impossible to catch depending on your skill.
The Radiant Sunfish has a ~2% chance to appear and you need Worms.

The beginning is a bit of a grind and I'm sure everyone does it differently but I would suggest

1. Get a garden going. I believe tomatoes and potatoes are best when you're able to plant them
2. Hit everything and sell lol. Gems only real purpose I guess are starstone gifts (each npc likes a specific stone) or for selling. You can place star gems but not give them as a gift (I think).

And when you're able, glow worms produce fertilizer that sells for a bit.

I chose to work on skills over money, which made me money anyway lol.

I did NOT do the "garden grid" but def google the best layout. Different crops give different bonuses and if you plant them right you won't have to water your crops every day and you don't have to worry about weeds

And some crops are better to sell as seeds...I think potatoes? Sell better as seeds.

When you progress you'll get a preserve maker and you'll be able to pickle your veggies and make jams from your fruits which also sell for a bit.

really, id be more than happy to buy decor packs. there are no in-game benefits, its still all cosmetic. plus i can display all my decor at the same time with outfits i can only have one on at a time (unless they make dress stands for displaying premium outfits on). the game is F2P and i have more hours in this than almost any other game i have ever paid for so happy to support the game in the premium shop. they just need to make stuff i want

I think many of us consider housing to be "end game" stuff, and if that became pay-to-win, it would rub a lot of folks the wrong way. I like buying fancy gliders, pets/skins, and clothes because they don't really impact gameplay much beyond making me feel pretty, lol

the game play is the decorating and if you put that behind apay wall it does become pay to win in my eyes

there is nothing pay to win about it the items do nothing - it is all cosmetic. as long as it doesn't give any in game advantage i think im fine with anything in the premium store. im talking about themed packs where it might be a library theme so has various different styles of books and stuff, or bathroom decor like soaps and rubber ducks etc

because at the moment housing is the only end-game content we have. Once you have all the achievements, done all the quests, maxed out all the npcs... all that's left is to make yourself fancy houses.

and the whole carrot on the end of the stick for a lot of quests IS a decoration for your house. IF all of the coolest stuff costs real life money then what is the point of playing the game any more? you can't earn this stuff while playing

I'm all for more stuff in the store, I'd just prefer they keep it to cosmetics like clothing and gliders. If we get free pets and free mounts, then add in fancy cosmetic skins for pets/mounts for money, and that'd be fine too

Generally speaking, if the same things can be earned both by free players and by paying money, it becomes a disincentive for free players to grind out their time / effort / RNG for stuff when other players just buy it for money
