Chop rocks in bahari you will get some amount of the centipedes and they give silk

If you cant afford buzz jars atm. The centipedes that spawn when you mine in bahari are a good way. Also the mantis on the sweet leafs and the vampire crabs in Flooded Fortress at evening and night. You will learn to reconize the rare/epic ones with time also. good luck!

The purple centipedes from mining are great but can be tricky to get if you’re trash at bug catching. Smoke candles + buzzy jar are a game changer for silk though. Between the two you’ll get at least a stack of silk. If you can’t make buzzy jars yet just a smoke candle going while you’re mining helps make the centipedes easier to catch though

Iron and other nodes anywhere in kilima/bahari are gonna be found under cliffs and on ledges. Anywhere the terrain is elevated, basically. is a good place to look for ore

I find a lot running around that big giant bluff thing to the east of the Hideaway Bluffs stable spot.

plus, climbing and getting elevation lets you look out and spot nodes in the distance. extra helpful for finding palium 🙂 (and be sure to keep an eye out for flares signalling palium too)

Definitely level up gardening, it's super worth it. Also. DO NOT spend weekly challenge medals on your first apple seed. Level up Naio to friendship level 3 and he'll give you one for free. Then just make sure to save at least 10 apples so you can make another seed afterward.

There are also buffs for the fishing pole that you can buy if you are level 10, or higher in fishing. Einar sells them for 5 medals each. Just be warned if you buy multiples, they don’t stack in your backpack.

Due to a current glitch from bay windows, I highly recommend removing items from a room you want to move. It's annoying, but allows you to shift things around without maybe losing some items. The window glitch makes it so items in a room that you move stay where they are. So you have to pick them up anyway. It doesn't happen to everyone but I've talked to enough players that it begs caution (This is on PC, not sure if it's affected Switch users)

Yes. I was told that someone got the window glitch, immediately logged out and back in and items were back where they belonged. I however, being the stubborn, irrational artist type that I am immediately panicked like a moron and started picking things up LOL It does work to log out and back ... but you can't touch anything for it to work. I had a wholeass Jel altar in one room and I only have the Bay windows on my Harvest house so far. So it was 100% the addition of a new room messing with it.

Carry a stack of focus food around with you and keep your focus topped off. It's automatic for me now. And watch the type of food you use. As your leveling your focus amount you don't want to 'overeat' foods that have more focus than is in your bar

you increase your focus boost by using renown at the phoenix shrine
and renown at the dragon shrine increases the amount of focus you can hold so you can load up more

for earlier on i recommend tomato soup ||from reth|| or mushroom soup ||from heckla||

right now I do petit fives because I have 1000 focus bar and starred petit fives is 600 focus

the higher the "boost" the more bonus exp you get currently maxed at 100% boost

Boost = buffs (pretty sure) grins Look at the amount of buff a regular food gives then it's starred version. The starred version will always be more. So depending on your game play (What you like to do and where in the storyline you are) Just pick whatever starred food works best for you. Keep an eye on levels (focus given vs how much focus you have) and change out your foods as needed

Oh oh, you mean focus boost, Sen. So SO sorry. There are two things to use your renown on. The amount of focus you have and boost. ||There are 2 shrines to raise these levels. Phoenix and Dragon||. Buffs are foods/items that give a temporary increase to .. .whatever it is for.

Duskwing is easy, just very time gated. Get to the Mejuri shrine at 2:30, clear any existing bugs - keep going in a circle - and I’d always get 1-2 by 6am. Never see it spawn after that.

The Rasberry Beetle is the bane of my collection, wave if you see me at the farm, I live there now.

Though this is true it totally can be hard to see that animation on some bugs, during certain times, or if your brightness isn't up very high on your device- yesterday I caught a starred princess beetle that I didn't even see the sparkly animation on or hear the sound but it was in fact a starred one! May I suggest taking a daily walk. The big advantage of the Switch over the PC is that you can get some exercise and still play Palia. Just don't cross any roads.

you can have 8 storage chests and only 3 locked boxes, so hopefully they expand on the space soon :(

I put my wallpapers/floors/roofs in my "locked" inventory so i don't have to scroll through it. Then use the extra plots for storage of the decor I won' tbe using.
