i've only used it in areas where apparently special bugs are meant to show up only they didn't like why have i only seen the rainbow tipped butterfly randomly but it never appears when i put down the lure, even at the right time and place

You also need to clear regular bugs before 3am to let the rainbow butterfly to spawn.

Just like you break regular stone and iron to let paliun stone to spawn. So just run around looking for rare/epic bugs can sometimes be a waste of time if your haven't rinsed regular bugs before 🤷🏼‍♀️

Me and my wife got that Rainbow Tipped butterfly when a grove came up. That butterfly normally only comes in the South part of Bahari and between 3am and 6pm. But, the grove is special. We got it on the North side and just after midnight. So, try to be the first one in the grove or other people might catch it or scare it.

I bought a bunch of lights, lanterns, mini dragon plushies, and dragon fireworks mostly to get wheel spins. I think they will probably give a recipe for dragon fireworks soon though like they did with phoenix fireworks

Fishing was annoying with all the emerald carpet moss and plant fibers I went through, but now bug catching seems even worse because I go through smoke bombs a lot quicker than worms, and also need ingredients for buzzy jar and sometimes smoke bombs. I also stopped growing cotton in my garden because I really didn't need it, but now I need it for smoke bombs, but I guess I could just buy the fabric when I do run out, I really don't have much else to spend gold on now

yeah the smoke bombs that are one and done are so expensive to make so I don't use them. I understand they don't want us to have as many, or make them harder to use etc, but 1 smoke bomb per pearl? That's insane. Don't give us 1 if you are going to make us use a pearl, give 5

Yesterday I learned that if you have a stack of sneaky smoke bombs, and then next to that a stack of sticky smoke bombs, and then a couple supremes, and then more sneaky bombs, when you use up the first stack of sneaky bombs it doesn't keep using your other sneaky bombs, it switches to the sticky bombs to the right.

If you're on for long sessions, gardening goes pretty fast, especially if you get a good weed-free and water retention setup, even in the early days. It only grows one tick while you're offline, though, so it's still valuable but slower otherwise.

Most people will probably say mining, but what I did to make gold quick from the start is chop trees near housing plot until you can't carry anymore or don't spawn fast enough, then go to housing plot and put everything in the bin to sell. You can also find stones to mine around there too sometimes often with gems that can sell for a high price

Gardening along with that is especially good

But my main advice is to avoid hitting the renown cap (get that focus bonus and bar size up) and figure out which skills are most fun for you. The most lucrative activity is the one you enjoy, because you'll do it a lot and get good at it.

I only just learned that you can press "x" on switch to select specific bug bombs, literally this entire time (3 months of game play ) I was just letting the game tell me which bombs I was allowed to use cuz I didn't realize you could pick!!!

Each time you enter the housing plot, you will probably be put in a different server so everything will respawn and sometimes you will have better chances of getting stones to mine as well.

Then when you get your garden started as well, you will be set

I'm talking about chopping trees right outside the housing plot, don't chop down or mine your plot unless you absolutely have to build there

You can plant more trees on the plot but bushes and rocks are gone for good

Yes, go to events option and you can see what all needs to be done for the event. You don't have too much time before it ends, but you should try to do as much as you can. There's some pretty cool stuff you can get from it

I wouldn't worry about it. You have 2 choices. Talk to people in server. Example: Flow groves. Location gets called out, half of the server shows up and that ONE person tries to cut the trees alone. Just about everyone asks them to for others. Or, choice 2 ... Leave the really annoying server you're in. People will be people. It easy enough to decide to join in or remove yourself, depending on the situation.

Cooking for me has definitely gotten easier as I've leveled up. I've noticed it's also easier when you have higher focus, and when your volume is turned up- there's a somewhat useful ticking sound for prepping esp that times well with the rhythm of the chopping parts!

Each crop has a boost to it - keeping water, avoiding weeds, etc. They will affect the crops right next to it as well.

Yup. so if you plant a plant, it's just that plant. But it also does something to any different plants next to it. for example, a potato will water any non-potato plants next to it. A carrot will keep any non-carrot plants next to it free from weeds.

So, for example, if you have a carrot with a potato and an onion next to it, that carrot will never get dry or weedy, becuase the potato's keeping it wet and the onion is keeping it weed free. If you wanted it to grow faster, you could either plant a blueberry next to it, or you could put some speedy-gro fertilizer on that carrot

I found looking at the subreddit and searching people's garden plans a good way to visualize the buffs! I found one I'm using (I can post the one over I'm using in the gardening chat if anyone's interested) right now that's 100% water retention (no water) 100% no weeding, and has every plant! Also, catching bugs on the beach is the best way to get those 30 for your weekly achievement.

My theory is that when people lob a bomb at the bugs, they lose their Hit Points. But sometimes they don't wind up catching said bug for some reason. Then the bug respawns elsewhere, while maintaining it's decreased HP. Then the next person comes along and smacks it and now its loot.

Starred bugs and higher quality ones have a higher HP and take longer to knock out (depending on type of bombs used). So those buggies might need like 4 or 5 bonks to become loot. Or a hundred. (Idk how high HP is ok)

TL;DR: when the buggie 💀 after one hit, it's because it was already smacked a few times by another player and got away. When it takes more hits, it's never been smacked.

For me, it's server dependent. If there's lots of chatter, I'll do a few callouts. But if it'd quiet on that server I'll just do nearby or just pair up with another person in the region to flare and leapfrog around a bit together. It's really play at your own pace and you should never feel bad for not waiting a long time- 15 mins would be too long for even me! I'd tag the spot on my map and take a hike at that point and get back to the loot spot after buzzing around the area at least once or twice in that time!
