The game's recipes have a particular order in which they want you to make them, so if it autoselects an ingredient for you, it means it wants you to prep/make that first. If you're in a party, then it helps to coordinate whose roles are what so that you don't end up wasting ingredients/having duplicate roles.

Zeki or Nai'o friendship quests will give you apple or blueberry seeds

You can also get them from Badruu once you unlock his guild shop but it's easier to get them from Zeki and Nai'o

There is a gold cap which is 300k, and your renown caps at 1K so be sure to spend it. They can be spent at the dragon shrine to increase focus total, and pheonix one to increase focus bonus %. Also for writ to expand/unlock your housing plot. Your focus goes up to 1,000 and focus bonus goes up to 100%. There’s also a cap on how many items you can have at your plot, which I believe is 3k but will have to double check
