I find it disturbing that Palia has a folder labeled tencent_ and one of the files, named im.db, has information ready for the game to allow you to have them send data elsewhere such as your birthdate, etc.

In addition, the fact that they have the Vivox plugin, which is meant to act as an in-game voice chat system, means they wanted to add Voice Communication in-game at some point, which I hope they never do, lol.

you can invite to party regardless of being in the same area. all players are on the same "server". however, you both need to be past the tutorial first. get to the point in the plot quest where you've left the plot and then you should be good to party up!

I had a Loaded Potato Soup recipe for the longest time. I had to wait till I was leveled up enough to get the stove, and the prep station, then I had to wait till I was able to get the mixing station, then I find out I cant use the stove to make the bacon, but I'll now need an Oven as well... but was def not a high enough level to be able to handle owning an oven yet so some more grinding just to get to cooking lvl 4. FINALLY I get the sucking oven, and what do I do with my only stick of butter? I RUIN THE MEAL!!! I didn't know I was being timed. I feel like that was a lot to learn in like 5 seconds!

i think all foods are balanced around ~30g per craft profit compared to selling the ingredients

and if you get quality dishes, its even higher

i would just recommened never using quality ingredients, since there is a chance your dish ends up normal quality and then u could potentially lose money

ofc, different if you need the dish in quality for a quest/bundle or something, then fuck the profit and go for it 😄

If the other people dont help with any prep work, stirring, flipping or anything they wont get a copy of the dish. Also the dish will apperently stack seperatly from the dishes you make without other people present and the dishes where other people help out making the dish

Seriously anyone on the quest from Badruu that requires silk thread. Go to mirror fields. Getting certain rare dragon flies there will do it. Singular does of the bombs won't work though hit them multiple times till it gives you the option to loot.

There's a few places to get silk thread. The one I used for awhile was bugs that spawned sometimes from mining nodes in Bahari

But I'll say the dragonflies are easier.

finding the insects in Bahari is very much about luck (unless its the ones from minning iron) if you dont know how the rare ones looks like they are easy to miss xD

mirror fields is a bit easier cause all the normal/uncommen are green or black and the rare red or blue :p

Yeah being lacking in being able to spot rares sometimes may be why my bug hunting isn't as high as my other skills lol. It's not my favourite one. Been mostly catching common ones to build it up. I prefer foraging and gardening if I'm honest 🤣

Doesn't seem like a beta thing. There's a lot of art and map design effort into the current design, as well as how the quest works. I think this was their intention early, to simulate a sort of stardew valley situation with 1 single plot being developed by the player.

I think its chosen based on how you would respond. it kinda shows your personality type , like for example i end up more with water answers but i do ocassionally do fire answers. the answer may give you more relationship with them depending on your answer or may not. Palia: Just wanted to share some friendly tips for people and others that are slightly newer to the Beta.

1. Do not be afraid to progress slowly and explore and take note of where items/creatures spawn. This will help you when you find yourself in the mood to grind skills.
2. Do not be afraid to hoard, you are allowed eight storage chests in your housing plot, which is quite a moderate amount of storage. (All storage is globally combined, you wont have seperate chests for neatly organized items)
3. Always make an effort to "Chat with..." and do dialogue options with any and all NPC's as you explore. This will allow you to build relationship/friendship status as well as a steady increase to Renown.
4. Anything on your housing plot can be moved and picked back up (with the exception of a few bugged items they will eventually fix) so don't worry about things being perfect as you purchase new plots.
5. You'll see a lot of videos leaning towards Hunting being the only money maker. I believe this to be highly inaccurate. Do what you want to and enjoy because I promise you the money comes in all skills.
6. Any and all resources are shared amungst any player that gets a tag, so be considerate and friendly towards your fellow Palians! See one running up to your rock node you are mining? Let them come tag it once, it benefits you both to do so. This also works well for Hunting, with the exception that with higher quality arrows some things die with one shot. But the higher health Sernuk's can be taking down easily with a combination of Slow Arrows and Fine Arrows between your party.
7. You will find a light in this game that shines brighter than anything else and his name is Einar, whoever wrote and designed this character should be rewarded with a medal. Make every effort to read his notes and dialogue for you will not regret it.
8. You may explore anywhere you wish at any point but you will find yourself fairly restricted in Bahrain Bay until you have mostly fine tools crafted.
9. Kilima is a great area for Copper and normal stone. You may also find Clay all along the beach. (brown rock formations)
10. Do not pet the Chapaa's.

So with that hook/rod combo (that's considered none in the sheet) you can catch a few fish from the pond in your housing area, but you can get something from basically anywhere

Like you can also get a handful of fish from any of the rivers/lakes you can fish at, even with no bait. What you get depends on the time of day/where, but you can check that sheet for that info!

Trial and error has been my method and there is a little button you can click under the gift button to ask them what they want. They dont always tell you what they want (but sometimes they do) but they will let you know something that another NPC might want

They did mention earlier that the servers were getting worked on. Either they brought it down to apply fixes or everyone hopped on as soon as they got home from work/school lmao
