it initially started with that error but after it crashed the server when it came up server in general has been broke

look this modpack is perfect in every other way but i can't stand the leveling. unless you are massively deformed, being a brute doesn't preclude you from using a bow. i can't stand bullet sponges, this is frustrating because you guys made something almost perfect for me, and the chances of finding another modpack with everything i like about this one and none of the flaws is basically zero. an alternate config would be spectacular, you don't even have to make it standard just an alternate config.

as far as i can tell, there are no incentives to using the other classes because it forces you to give up a large amount of freedom in regards to your gear.

also the enemies health and armor leveling up produces bullet sponges that are impossible to kill with naturally crafted gear which requires you to use looted, this completely removes all incentive to craft your gear.

the origins mod is what provides the classes, the classes limit what you can use, when i asked for a way to scale back the amount of health and armor on leveled up enemies i was told to just play brute, which would preclude me from using any ranged weapons.

brute is just the best 'anti-sponge', outside of the ridiculous archer

And both are playable. Plague Victim is hard, but Frontear is doing it. And we just discovered that Bewitchment Werepyre transformation is hella strong so that's an option for all origins including Plague Victim.

15% chance but who cares because when you do hit it you basically either one-shot or deal huge chunk. Void Strike is powerful as hell. This is why I still say enchants are at least 75% of your power

so like, thundering quiver temporarily gives all your arrows lightning strikes on targets they hit
but you can enchant those

Is there a way around the fact that every end Island I go to floods me with murdering level 1 skeletons/spawners with actual guardians on their heads that one shot me or at minimum destroy whatever armor I'm wearing, regardless of it's durability (and ruining mending), (never mind the juiced regenerating with thorns skeletons with 12000 health, where I can't figure out if i'm killing myself or getting hit.
I mean it's KINDA fun playing 'race against time' to see if i can retrieve my grave and silk touch the spawners before I get hit, but.. I feel like it's distracting me from seeing anything new

Oh, also, it seemed that the Dungeon levels mod bugged when I updated from v16 to v17. It cranked all the mobs up to lvl 60s to 80s. The highest level guy on the server is lvl23

If you are playing a 330 mod modpack it's expected you know how to mine a tree
and, if you dont, minecraft added a tutorial in like 1.16
there's notifications in the top right which tell you to grab wood

What would you put such a dumb quest like making a hoe, beginner quests was an example, you're trying to make it sound like I'm a idiot if I need quests. I like packs with quests the guide your progression through certain mods like for magic it might tell you the order in which you should be acquiring items and give you little rewards along the way. I tend to like when packs have many different quest lines for each major mod as I find it fun to go down the rabbit hole of questlines and exploring them. The part that I find that takes a lot of fun away from modpacks is when I don't know where to go with certain mods and I have to keep looking up tutorials when the mod pack could just have a quest line to show me the way. I'm not talking about make wooden hoes--> make stone hoes. I'm taking about advancing to major points or helpful Items that I could craft. Like major turns or events that you need to reach to unlock other parts of mods.
I'm really into gregtech even though its super complex because of the well put together questline, now this mod pack seems really fun but I don't find big packs without huge goals as well as the steps to achieve them, its just not for me. As I know some packs don't show all the quests at once, I wanted to inquire if this pack had those same features which it doesn't seem to expand much past where it is in terms of quest amount. Again thats not a mod pack problem, just something I'm not personally interested in

Well those "meaningless quests" aren't always meaningless, sure mining diamonds is obvious , but I'm more focusing on the mods. Like if I wanted to craft a certain machine it would be nice to know that I'd have to make a different one before it.

Which brings me to the point that natural progression in heavily modded packs is hard without knowing which directions to take without having a detailed quest book. Again its not a problem with the pack, I'm just currently searching for a good "quest" mod pack

that’s really more of a feature request than a “fix” but it would be nice. as far as I know though, origins has no tag or config for this or the dwarf golden helm. The only tags which can be added to are foods, ranged weapons for elves, and shields for Unwieldy. probably something to request to the Origins dev
and speaking of chorb is the meat tag being worked on? I was going to put together a list for suggestions but it sounds like you might already be on it

Is there a way to get the small patches of snow that get left behind after winter season to automatically disappear? The snow that the seasons mod itself adds goes away fine, but it seems its interaction with Immersive weathering leaves behind patches of snow all over the world that become permenant unless i manually go around clearing it :/

F&F doesnt cause any crash and performance is heavily linked to used hw, i will need more context i think

For overwold and nether goblins make a cave, like 20x20) place lights to avoid hostile spawns, place some boats on the borders and in the middle, then afk in the middle for a while, there should be some goblins on the boats

knowledge of the ages III doesn't currently work at all right now, as in it doesn't function, critical hit III imo not great at all because incompatible with void strike plus can get crit chance from luck stat and relics, sharpness incompatible with void strike, optimal gear in pins with enchants included, tieredz unnecessary as loot you get through exploring is far better

Hello I am running a server with usually 5+ concurrent players, however when we are that many we usually start to feel lag, I have 12gb rams allocated to the server, tried to optimise it as good as I can and followed the tps guide here.
I can't apply aikar's flags to the command line for my provider currently but is there any other stuff I could do to optimise my server for more than 5 players?
Currently we're 3 people with a tps of 14.
You could try setting simulation distance even lower
one big server here has simulation set to 4 and render set to 8 as far as I know
I would also contact your hosts support about seeing if they can add the flags for you
I wrote to my server host asking several questions (well two really) but they never replied to that specific one, might have to write again.
I am honestly considering swapping to Bisect as it seems more optimised for hosting a modded server like with this modpack in mind.
