Free Method

To host a server on your own computer, read the selfhosting guide.
This guide goes over how to install, create, and launch a free Minecraft server on all operating systems (MacOS, Linux and Windows). The guide also guides you through installing Java and optimizing your server for better performance.

If you are installing one of our older modpacks, ignore the "README" file that is included in the serverpack files, as they have outdated information.

Paid Method

We suggest renting a server from Bisect Hosting:

The following advice works for both the Free and Paid methods:

Transferring Your World

If you're playing Singleplayer and want to transfer your world to your server, simply go to your modpack files and navigate to the saves folder. Inside of this folder, you will see your world saves. Rename your desired world save to world. You can then transfer this folder to your server files. If your world was hosted via world sharing, this process has to be done by the person who would click "Share World".

Fixing Lag

To resolve lag issues, simply run the !tps command in #bots and follow the directions provided.

yea i added like a few extra mods and disabled some, like mousetweaks, Snow! Real magic!, fabrication (was bugging out bundles)

i added autotools, carryon, and inventory management. I dont think these mods should affect the game.

im also using latest modpack version v35

also as an update, i was able to do the raid, however it would bug out midway and say 1 left even though there is no pillagers left, i'd use the map and bell to locate but nothing, sometimes it would even increase to 2 remaining

From our experience, the most stable launcher by far is ATLauncher, also known as ATL. Keep in mind that ATL is NOT related to TLauncher in any way, and is not a cracked launcher.

To install ATL, do the following:
1. Go to https://atlauncher.com/download. If you are on MacOS, then choose the "Jar" version under the "Other" tab.
2. Install and run the setup, then open the program.
3. Login to your Microsoft account that owns the Java Edition of Minecraft from the Accounts tab on the right. This process is 100% safe, as it goes directly through Microsoft. ATL doesn't see your account credentials.
4. Go to the Packs tab on the right, then click "Curseforge" on the left.
5. Search the modpack you wish to download.
6. Click "Install". Then, follow the on-screen directions.
7. Go to the Instances tab, and click "Play" on the modpack you downloaded. If you ever see an "Update" button on the instance, click it.

To transfer your Curseforge world to ATL, simply right click the modpack on Curseforge, or click the 3 dots, then click "Open Folder". Copy the Saves folder, then click "Open Folder" on ATL and paste the Saves folder there. Do the same with the XaerosMinimap folder, or the Journeymap folder, to transfer over any waypoints you've created.
Because ATL downloads the exact same files as Curseforge does, your world will be the exact same and you will be able to join the same servers. ATL also works without an internet connection (after you've installed the modpack, of course), and does not have any bloat from Overwolf. You are free to uninstall both Overwolf and Curseforge with ATL installed.

If you are unable to find the serverpack on Curseforge, it is most likely not approved by Curseforge yet. If you want to create your own Server Pack follow the steps below;

How to create a Server Pack:

1. Download ServerPackCreator and run it.
2. Set the Modpack Directory to where you installed the modpack.
3. Set the Minecraft Version, Modloader and Modloader Version of the Modpack.
4. Press Generate.

How to use the Server Pack:

1. Right click the start.ps1 file and click Run with Powershell.
2. To join your own server, type localhost into Direct Connect.

Hey everyone, I am playing the most recent version of BMC3 fabric, and I just found my first infested temple. I've gone through a couple of trail spawners, and got a few infested temple keys. However, I can't seem to open any of the vaults with them. How can I fix this?

added a few mods and a resource pack. I would not be surprised if Unicopia was causing crashes; it's caused some issues in multiplayer in the past (it doesn't remember its own XP levels for the player, its static portals are very unstable for multiplayer, etc.). Blockus was originally added so I could add a Unicopia-Blockus crossover mod, but that ALWAYS resulted in crashing during the game boot process, so it was culled.

If this command was run in response to your question/issue, it is likely because switching away from the launcher you are currently using would fix your problem.
From our experience, the most stable launcher by far is ATLauncher, also known as ATL. Keep in mind that ATL is NOT related to TLauncher in any way, and is not a cracked launcher.

To install ATL, do the following:
1. Go to https://atlauncher.com/download. If you are on MacOS, then choose the "Jar" version under the "Other" tab.
2. Install and run the setup, then open the program.
3. Login to your Microsoft account that owns the Java Edition of Minecraft from the Accounts tab on the right. This process is 100% safe, as it goes directly through Microsoft. ATL doesn't see your account credentials.
4. Go to the Packs tab on the right, then click "Curseforge" on the left.
5. Search the modpack you wish to download.
6. Click "Install". Then, follow the on-screen directions.
7. Go to the Instances tab, and click "Play" on the modpack you downloaded. If you ever see an "Update" button on the instance, click it.

To transfer your Curseforge world to ATL, simply right click the modpack on Curseforge, or click the 3 dots, then click "Open Folder". Copy the Saves folder, then click "Open Folder" on ATL and paste the Saves folder there. Do the same with the XaerosMinimap folder, or the Journeymap folder, to transfer over any waypoints you've created.
Because ATL downloads the exact same files as Curseforge does, your world will be the exact same and you will be able to join the same servers. ATL also works without an internet connection (after you've installed the modpack, of course), and does not have any bloat from Overwolf. You are free to uninstall both Overwolf and Curseforge with ATL installed.

Transferring Your World

If you're playing Singleplayer and want to transfer your world to your server, simply go to your modpack files and navigate to the saves folder. Inside of this folder, you will see your world saves. It's my first time using Better MC and I just installed it in Modrinth, but when I try to start the modpack, it doesn't start and indicates problems with the Better Jungle Temple mod version.

Currently LPS packs are not being updated on the Modrinth site, and as such are outdated. This is while the devs figure out a way to automate uploads of the pack properly.

Until the packs can be properly updated, we recommend using ATL (use !alternates in #bots for further info on the installation process ) or Prism launcher. You can download the CurseForge version of our packs on these launchers while still being able to make instances from Modrinth versions of other packs not owned by us.

Please note this does not apply to individual mod projects of developers at LPS.

hi guys i have this constant issue where whenever i'm exploring my world, it is such a hassle to load new chunks. Most times whenever im flying on my beehemoth, chunks just refuse to load, the ticks just freeze, all entities freeze and if i try dismounting from the beehemoth it also refuses. It would take several minutes for the ticks to start again and sometimes i'd be forced to restart my world for everything to work smoothly again. How do i improve chunk loading and tick freezing???

so it turns out, I was downloading from the wrong place. Prism gives you the option of downloading from CurseForge, Modrinth or ATLauncher

Modrinth's version is completely out of date it seems

so downloading the latest from CurseForge did the trick

if the Modrinth install download is completely broken maybe it should be updated, or taken down

No, I haven't been able to figure out how to fix the crashing, and this has never happened before in terms of crashing. The modpack has run smoothly for me up until this point.

I was going to make a nether ruby pickaxe but upon crafting it my game crashed, so I updated my mods in hopes that it would fix the problem . I was then told my version of Configurable was outdated and needed to be updated to 3.2.4 instead of 3.0.1 so I changed it manually, and the game loads but whenever I try to open my world it crashes before even loading in. It also removed the mod Luna-FABRIC-MC1.19.X-1.0.1.jar, and I have tried reinstalling it to see if that fixed my problem, but in the crash reports it says it keeps removing the mod.

Transferring Your World

If you're playing Singleplayer and want to transfer your world to your server, simply go to your modpack files and navigate to the saves folder. Inside of this folder, you will see your world saves. Rename your desired world save to world. You can then transfer this folder to your server files. If your world was hosted via world sharing, this process has to be done by the person who would click "Share World".

Fixing Lag

To resolve lag issues, simply run the !tps command in #bots and follow the directions provided.

Currently LPS packs are not being updated on the Modrinth site, and as such are outdated. This is while the devs figure out a way to automate uploads of the pack properly.

Until the packs can be properly updated, we recommend using ATL (use !alternates in #bots for further info on the installation process ) or Prism launcher. You can download the CurseForge version of our packs on these launchers while still being able to make instances from Modrinth versions of other packs not owned by us.

Please note this does not apply to individual mod projects of developers at LPS.

If this command was run in response to your question/issue, it is likely because switching away from the launcher you are currently using would fix your problem.
From our experience, the most stable launcher by far is ATLauncher, also known as ATL. Keep in mind that ATL is NOT related to TLauncher in any way, and is not a cracked launcher.

To install ATL, do the following:
1. Go to https://atlauncher.com/download. If you are on MacOS, then choose the "Jar" version under the "Other" tab.
2. Install and run the setup, then open the program.
3. Login to your Microsoft account that owns the Java Edition of Minecraft from the Accounts tab on the right. This process is 100% safe, as it goes directly through Microsoft. ATL doesn't see your account credentials.
4. Go to the Packs tab on the right, then click "Curseforge" on the left.
5. Search the modpack you wish to download.
6. Click "Install". Then, follow the on-screen directions.
7. Go to the Instances tab, and click "Play" on the modpack you downloaded. If you ever see an "Update" button on the instance, click it.

To transfer your Curseforge world to ATL, simply right click the modpack on Curseforge, or click the 3 dots, then click "Open Folder". Copy the Saves folder, then click "Open Folder" on ATL and paste the Saves folder there. Do the same with the XaerosMinimap folder, or the Journeymap folder, to transfer over any waypoints you've created.
Because ATL downloads the exact same files as Curseforge does, your world will be the exact same and you will be able to join the same servers. ATL also works without an internet connection (after you've installed the modpack, of course), and does not have any bloat from Overwolf. You are free to uninstall both Overwolf and Curseforge with ATL installed.
