I did add essential mod and it worked fine. Then It started crushing. So I uninstalled modpack with that mod and reinstalled couple times. I reinstalled java too and Curseforge. It's my girlfriend's PC. On my PC I haven't got any problems

Another player in another modpack was having trouble with making end dust. I checked the comments on the Better End CF page and there was this one:

Might be a common complaint but I cant make any Forged plates as there is no recipe and no guides to make them.

To anyone having this issue: Please visit the discord server. Another user has made a datapack including alternative recipes for the time being, until the mod receives an official patch for this.

4. What Java version are you using? (On Windows: press the windows key, search "Programs and Features", then search Java there)
5. When does the crash happen?
6. Have you ever gotten past the point where the crash happens?
7. Does a crash report generate? If so, send the file here. If not, is there an exit code? (On CurseForge, right click the instance, Open Folder, and go to the crash reports folder. Alternatively, post the log's text on mclo.gs and send the link here)

How to create a server:

Download the serverpack from Curseforge's website
Right click the start.ps1 file and click Run with Powershell
To join your own server, type localhost into Direct Connect.

The server IP address is your Public IP Address, which can be found by googling my ip address

If other players are unable to join, find a portforwarding guide online.

When mobs die in the nether, a white skull spawns. I think it might be a particle effect, as it doesn't freeze when I use the /tick freeze command from the carpet mod, and it doesn't show up on the minimap.

Anyway, with a really efficient mob farm in the nether, these skulls are awful. I'd like to disable them. Does anyone know what mod they're from?

Hello! To better diagnose your issue, please answer ALL of the following questions:

1. Have you modified the modpack in any way? (Adding/removing mods, changing configs, anything in the Resourcepacks menu)
2. What launcher are you using? (CurseForge, GDLauncher, etc)
3. What Minecraft version are you playing? (1.18.2, 1.16.5, 1.19)
4. What Java version are you using? (On Windows: press the windows key, search "Programs and Features", then search Java there)
5. When does the crash happen?
6. Have you ever gotten past the point where the crash happens?
7. Does a crash report generate? If so, send the file here. If not, is there an exit code? (On CurseForge, right click the instance, Open Folder, and go to the crash reports folder. Alternatively, post the log's text on mclo.gs and send the link here)

i cant really find anything online for this specific modpack, so i am trying my luck here. but for some reason i cant play my singleplayer world, it gives the error ill send in the pic below, i checked the datapacks folder in the instance file, and its completely empty, it says i can "fix it manually" but i... do not know how to. i'm using GD launcher, 1.19.2, just the betterMC Fabric modpack, no changes to mods made whatsoever, just downloaded and hit play. im also playing on V6.

I think the fix here is you have to delete the bumblezone mod for now, but absolutely backup before doing so. You might be asked by one of the devs to send your save file from the backup cause they are looking into the issue.

I don't see why downgrading wouldn't work. I'm also going back to a v6 last world save. I use the textile backup mod which saves the word while playing but also at the moment of shutting down server so you always have latest save.

Yeah Waystone locations are all back in v6 with a backup world. So something in v7 doesn't erase them but hides them, cause as your screenshot shows, they are still there but with no names and you can't click on them.

Another thing I've noticed unrelated with this modpack. The music always cuts off for no reason. This has never happened before

Does anyone happen to be having issues with Supplementaries? A lot of blocks from that mod on my server are immediately turning into other supplementaries blocks when placed, or changing position (Flax turning into pancakes, desk bell turning into a waterlogged wall hanging lantern, Fully grown flax seems to be... a low resolution jpg of Phil Swift? etc.) While kinda funny honestly, it's very weird

Luckily I backed up my world when I switched to v7, it seems this version is a bit buggy in general so I might just revert for now until that hotfix y'all were talking about!

If you are still wanting to play your world that was failing to load with BcLib and Bumblezone. This Bumblezone jar uses a mixin to completely bypass BcLib's wt_callFixerOnLoad mixin. It seems to work to gaining access to a problematic world. However, this means BcLib's patcher stuff for worlds will not run so make a backup of the world first.

You don't really find them as much as they find you. They spawn like wandering traders. Generally they'll pop up near you in singleplayer. They do have a max height and depth range that you can configure in the Mod Manager.

They pop up fairly often, probably the same timetable mechanic as wandering trader. Also if you're on multiplayer, it may choose another player to visit with before moving on. There's settings for it in the mod manager settings as well. If you're not seeing them at all, check that you're in its Y level

Most things were Forge a while back. Then Fabric came and it's more optimized and lighter weight. So slowly over time people began to port over old Forge mods to it, and also create new mods for Fabric but not for forge. Forge and Fabric operate quite differently. Forge can support some very complex mods because of the way it is but it's also much heavier, loads way slower. Fabric has only gotten more popular going forward though because it's probably the superior choice in performance

As for why this modpack has more than it's forge counterpart is entirely coincidental. It's any number of reasons, like more optimization mods or more mods suggested from people under #suggestions and such.

#

Like the Medieval MC Forge 1.16.5 has 292 mods. But the Medieval MC Fabric 1.19.2 has 268 mods. So in this case, at least one of the forge modpacks has more than the fabric. (Medieval Forge 1.18.2 has 250, and 1.19.2 has 182)

tldr; The number of mods in the modpack doesn't matter. And there's several reasons why some are higher or lower

1. Have you modified the modpack in any way? (Adding/removing mods, changing configs, anything in the Resourcepacks menu)
2. What launcher are you using? (CurseForge, GDLauncher, etc)
3. What Minecraft version are you playing? (1.18.2, 1.16.5, 1.19)
4. What Java version are you using? (On Windows: press the windows key, search "Programs and Features", then search Java there)
5. When does the crash happen?
6. Have you ever gotten past the point where the crash happens?
7. Does a crash report generate? If so, send the file here. If not, is there an exit code? (On CurseForge, right click the instance, Open Folder, and go to the crash reports folder. Alternatively, post the log's text on mclo.gs and send the link here)
8. Did you follow the Performance guide in #better-mc-forge pins?

I tried to upgrade to the latest version and a bunch of mods that were used to build my base were apparently removed so I have holes everywhere. BcLib dev just made a new jar but needs people to test it with their problematic worlds. If any of you have time to spare, can you replace my modified Bumblezone jar with the normal Bumblezone jar from curseforge, replace BcLib with this modified version from the BcLib GitHub here, and try entering your affected worlds that prevented you from entering? The BcLib dev wants to make sure the terrain still generates correctly and modded dimensions are still showing up

Anyone here runs a server with this specific modpack and has run into an issue where taking books in and out of an anvil sometimes completely destroys them, then spams the log with these errors?
I have failed to reproduce this bug in singleplayer (though there are some caveats), but my server is consistently facing this issue. The bug happens at random - sometimes you can combine books with out any issue. No problem. Multiple times sometimes. Sometimes it crashes multiple times in a row instead. It takes multiple tries to reproduce the bug. At this point I am attempting to investigate if this is a config issue or a modpack issue

No. Prior to my laptop update everything worked perfect. Post update it will not run whatsoever, it doesn't even bring up the minecraft launcher (Vanilla MC runs perfectly fine)
It does not. I only get an error stating that the app cannot run and prompts me to contact the software developer for a compatible version.
I have not as I was unaware that this existed. I shall do so now and see if that remedies my situation

Okay, watched the video, now I have has another question (my minecraft fundamentals is probably wrong here, hence the question)

Loading all the chunks takes away the lag of first time generation. However, from my understanding once players leave a chunk and it exits render/simulation distance the chunk stops rendering/functioning? So that would mean things like farms, etc. in that chunk would stop working.

I'm looking for something that would be able to keep chunks like that in use so farms keeps running, etc.

Just checking if the modpack already has something that does that already.

Simple Storage Networks allow for infinitely expandable storage that can be accessed from any dimension, at any distance. To set one up, you'll first need a Network Root and Request Table. Try to keep this all in one chunk (viewed by pressing F3 + G) and do it somewhere with a good bit of vertical space. Place the Request Table above the Network Root. Generally, the simplest way to gets lots of storage is to make a tower of double chests from bedrock and then a tower of Link Cables which attach to the Network Root. When you run out of space, you will need to make more Link Cables, as one cable can only attach to one double chest. If you're playing a modpack with the Sophisticated Backpacks mod, you can use maxed backpacks instead of chests to conserve space. To access the Network from anywhere with a Crafting Remote, click the map icon at the top left of your inventory then click the next map icon in the same area. Here, you can click to claim a chunk (disabling creeper explosion damage) and then shift click to "Force Load" it. You can tell it's loaded when there's red lines going across the chunk. You can also put the Crafting Remote in a Curio slot (accessed by clicking the ring icon in your inventory) and then bind "Open Remote Curio" to a key of your choice for easier access.

Hi I been playing the better MC for awhile. I actually encounter a quiver from the supplementies mod, Did an attempt to search it but Any videos on youtube doesnt show it.

Hi I have just recently downloaded the better minecraft fabric mod pack from curse forge and it runs perfectly while making a world and playing it but after I leave and try to reload it states " Errors in currently selected data packs prevented the world from loading" then it trys to tell me to play in safe mode and if I try to do so it crashes. Is there a way to fix it? :)
