I have been struggling for a few days to get ANYTHING TO work for my BetterMinecraft Modpack.
For context :

• Minecraft/Modpack : 1.20.1
• Curseforge : 47.3.5

I have TIRED absolutely every workaround I can to simply get Ores to GLOW I love everything else about the modpack but I just want Ores to be visible for me. I know Optifine doesn't work with this modpack (nor is there a verison that works with the forge ver and Modpack ver) but I also tried using the MoreMcmeta method on reddit and that still has not worked??

Am I doing something wrong? Forgetting something?? I don't really use Modded minecraft and when I do I usually don't mess with the content inside and play it how I get it. It's just this small change I want to add to my BMC experience. I also provided a screenshot on the download I have on my Curseforge... ( Also hope this is the right chat since I know Curse forge and Forge can be different?? BUT I am using Cursedforge )

Welp For anyone that had a Similar problem to me, I found a Solution to get GLOWING Ores in BMC4 1.20.1 with Forge 47.3.5

• Press the Menu Button ( ESC )
• Click Options -> Video Settings -> Shader Packs on the upper right
• Make sure ComplementaryReimagined_r5.2.2.zip is loaded. ( Click Apply Should reload )
• With that selected click Shader Pack Settings... on the lower right middle.
• Click Materials -> Click IntergratedPBR+ Materials -> Click Glowing Ores
• Press "ON" in the highlighted yellow Enable Glowing Ores And on the right there should be a Ore Glow Strength ( I set mine to 1.00 )
  It's great since you can select what ores you want to glow and how strong the glow is! So for anyone who desperately tried to search for this hope this helps~!

Simple Storage Networks allow for infinitely expandable storage that can be accessed from any dimension, at any distance. To set one up, you'll first need a Network Root and Request Table. Try to keep this all in one chunk (viewed by pressing F3 + G) and do it somewhere with a good bit of vertical space. Place the Request Table above the Network Root. Generally, the simplest way to gets lots of storage is to make a tower of double chests from bedrock and then a tower of Link Cables which attach to the Network Root. Luna Pixel's World Sharing

Our modpacks don't support any mods that add singleplayer hosting / world sharing because we already provide free world sharing. The "Essential" mod is therefore incompatible.

To share your world using our own world hosting, click the "Open to Lan" or "Share World" button in the game menu when in a singleplayer world, and share the world.

It will give you an address, like magma-cube.mc.lunapixel.gg, which your friends can use to connect directly to your world as if it were a server!

We still highly suggest not to play through LAN as LAN is untested and unreliable. Using it will cause longterm damage to your world.

There is no reason to use LAN, as we support both paid and free methods of hosting a server the normal way.

Hello, Could I get some help.
I am running a server obviously it is the Better MC modpack.
I have added a couple extra mods, but from what I can tell there not an issue.

The server functions and everyone is able to play okay, but there is a lot of errors or "Server thread/WARN" in the command prompt output on start-up and I am not too comfortable with it and do not want to run the risk of corruption as a lot of time has gone into the world by myself and some friends. Hi everyone, I'm experiencing a crash while playing Minecraft, but it only happens when I'm in The End. The crash doesn’t occur in the Overworld. The issue happens when rendering chunk meshes, specifically related to a block called minecraft:purple_stained_glass_pane. The error mentions an IllegalArgumentException, saying that the game cannot get a property that doesn't exist in the block.

I’ve already tried a few steps to fix the issue:

I updated and temporarily disabled mods like Xenon (Sodium) and Sinytra Connector, as these were mentioned in the crash report.
I checked mods that interact with block rendering (like FerriteCore, Quark, and Supplementaries) by disabling them one by one.
I also tried reducing graphics settings and chunk loading ranges in Minecraft, but the crash persists.
Here are the details about my setup:

Minecraft version: 1.20.1
Launcher: CurseForge
Modpack modifications: I’m using a custom modpack with 312 mods. I have added several mods like Create.
Modpack version: It’s a custom pack, so no official version, but the mods are up to date.
Crash frequency: The crash happens every time when loading chunks in The End. It doesn’t occur in the Overworld.
Steps to reproduce the crash: The crash occurs consistently when entering an area with purple_stained_glass_pane in The End. It seems related to chunk rendering.

If this command was run in response to your question/issue, it is likely because switching away from the launcher you are currently using would fix your problem.
From our experience, the most stable launcher by far is ATLauncher, also known as ATL.

To install ATLauncher, do the following:
1. Go to https://atlauncher.com/download
2. Install and run the setup, then open the program.
3. Login to your Microsoft account that owns the Java Edition of Minecraft from the Accounts tab on the right. This process is 100% safe, as it goes directly through Microsoft. ATLauncher does not see your account credentials.
4. Go to the Packs tab on the right, then click "Curseforge" on the left.
5. Search the modpack you wish to download.
6. Click "New Instance". Click "Ok" on the opted out mods warning, then click "Open All" on the manual download screen.
7. Let the mods download, ATLauncher will grab them from your Downloads folder and automatically add them to the modpack.
8. Go to the Instances tab, and click "Play" on the modpack you downloaded. If you ever see an "Update" button on the instance, click it.

To transfer your Curseforge world to ATLauncher, simply right click the modpack on Curseforge, or click the 3 dots, then click "Open Folder". Copy the Saves folder, then click "Open Folder" on ATLauncher and paste the Saves folder there. Do the same with the XaerosMinimap folder, or the Journeymap folder, to transfer over any waypoints you've created.
Because ATLauncher downloads the exact same files as Curseforge does, your world will be the exact same and you will be able to join the same servers. ATLauncher also works without an internet connection (after you've installed the modpack, of course), and does not have any bloat from Overwolf. You are free to uninstall both Overwolf and Curseforge with ATLauncher installed.

The Essential mod is completely incompatible with all of our modpacks, and there's no reason to use it. All of our modpacks already come with built-in, free world hosting, by clicking the "Share World' button in the Open to LAN menu. You can learn more by typing !ws in the ⁠#bots channel. In modpacks that aren't owned by us, you can use mods such as e4mc or WorldHost to host a server completely for free without Essential's many issues and crashes and the microtransactions that they constantly bother users with. On top of this, is there any way I can optimise the server a bit to use a little less RAM as I am hosting of the Computer I am playing on and even with 32GB of RAM I am coming close to 100% usage and stuck with my game at 30fps cause I cannot allocate it any more RAM without causing server to crash.
Server is currently set to use a max of 11GB and still uses 12GB even with that set to 11

Please follow the guide here for changing the Java version your server uses. This will improve performance dramatically. If you are on a third party server host, you likely can not change the Java version your server uses. Bisect Hosting and a few VPS providers do allow changing Java version, though, which can usually be done through your server dashboard.

The method on Bisect is to simply go to the main dashboard page, and select "GraalVM 22" as the Java distribution. If it crashes, use 21 instead.

You (likely) need to update your graphics drivers in order to resolve the crash. Here's how to go about doing that!

Idk if anybody would be able to help with this. The resource pack I have installed keeps defaulting some wood blocks to the normal minecraft texture instead of the resource pack texture. Every once in a while, it'll have the correct texture but most of the time, it's default

i dont know if anyone said it here but in the last snapshot they upgraded the enderpearls so now they can load chunks, and i think this can work for farms working without being afk

you can put a ender pearl in water with a magma block

so

while you dont die (because if you die the ender pearl dissapears) you can farm while you do anything else
