Tysm, I did just that as well as making sure to delete all extra files as well like the creation pack wich apparently can cause perpetual blur and other game break bugs. After re-download and adjusting settings to low or off sushi as God ray, dof, shadows, object blur, an so on. It finally worked! However im still experiencing lag. Ive found others have had a similar experience with new Gen graph cards an such having a similar issue ie the old is having a hard time computing with the new. With that idk what to do. Ugh putting so many hours into a save an not ever actually finishing fo4 since 10 years ago, fml. Sorry tmi

I'm kinnda hoping that after the Oblivion Remaster, BGS rethinks useing Unreal Engine and instead use Creation Engine. It would still be the dual engine system, but instead of UE layered over GameBryo, it would be Creation Engine layered over GameBryo. BGS is already extensively familiar with both GameBryo and Creation, and they have the mod tools for both engines.

When Bethesda decides to make an update

From what I understand, Creation Engine was a completely new engine and was created in-house, borrowing some stuff from GameBryo. Creation Engine 2 is the update from Creation Engine. That's the engine their using for Starfield, TES6, and FO5.

There are rumors about that, but do you really want that? It will run like Oblivion, maybe even worse, not because it's impossible to optimize, but because they wouldn't focus on it as much.

Yes, I'd rather BGS stick with an engine they already know inside and out and have the tools to support mods. Any bugs that crop up, BGS would be able to address as soon as possible without having to wait on Epc to update UE. As it is rn, with Oblivion Remaster, there are mods, but because UE is involved, the mods are very limited.

Oh, my bad, I misread you yeah I more or less agree. Though don't count your chickens regarding bugs, we both know who does the majority of bug fixing in Bethesda games LOL. Wouldn't think them using Unreal on top would change that. And regarding mods, modding is not supported for the remaster, so we can't really expect anything more than limited. 😔

Dont forget that the GOG versions of fallout 1, 2, tactics, fallout 3 and new vegas generally require less tinkering to get working on modern systems. At most all you would need is some qol mods for the classic titles and a stability mod or two combined with unofficial patch, a gpu spoofer and a sewage green/mexico yellow piss tint remover for the 3D titles

Interplay sold the intellectual property rights so they have nothing. Obsidian was hired and payed a flat rate to make a game with bethesda’s engine so they own nothing

Some “clothes” are some of the most powerful armour in game, for instance Maxson battle coat is a leather coat but is really good defense and the minutemen general coat is really good armour aswell.

No you cannot nuke 76. Some parts of the map are protected. There are 4 locations that if you do nuke, it spawns an extremely tough world boss

Bethesda tends to offer a lot of merch when one of their games is new. This tends to give way to merch centered around the newest game, once that is out. Lately, I've been replaying Fallout 4 on PlayStation 5 to explore the new content included in the new edition. I was surprised to find that it contained custom content mods already available on PlayStation (including several I own, like the anti-material sniper rifle), but not the latest additions like bounty hunting, etc. I often read online that Sony is responsible because they don't allow the use of external resources in mods, which seems wrong to me, since some mods import content from Fallout 3, and Fallout New Vegas is already available on PlayStation.

So my question is: is it normal to feel excluded because I'm on the wrong platform?

Sony contracted with Bethesda Softworks to allow Fallout4, New Vegas and Fallout 4 on their platform. They have no contract with, or control over, modders. That is why they do not allow modded art assets on their platform, whether those assets have appeared in previous games or not.

The only games available are Fallout 4 and Fallout 76, and besides that, nobody clearly explains why certain content like Cyberdog is included, but not Beast Hunter or Bounty Hunting. I've invested my entire gaming life in this franchise. I've bought all their games on PS3 and PS4/5. I have 3,000 hours in Fallout 76, and so seeing how they're excluding PlayStation players gives me a strong feeling of having been mistreated as a loyal, long-time customer.

It doesn't really matter, because I was going with the style of the Courier just stumbling upon the beginnings of the DLCs rather than having some otherworldly foresight of where he should go first, felt more realistic.

But then there's the graffiti, he's drawn into entering the divide and upon finding and releasing the second ED-E, he feels that he needs some answers and continues all the way to the end for the final encounter with Ulysses. A satellite wreckage, which transports him to a place called Big M.T and during his adventures he finds terminal entries mentioning a place called the Sierra Madre... Which he plans to investigate afterwards.||

Basically, it's how I think events would transpire for someone just going about their days in the Mojave and encountering the beginning of each DLC by chance and either being guided to the next or stumbling across them.

I'm honestly wondering how the Courier's Stash dlc would be handled in an official NV remaster. When you start a new game in Fallout NV, that stuff is just dumped into your inventory before you even get to character creation. So, how would they handle it. The progression of the events of the show feel poorly thought out. The west coast has always been a post-post apocalypse. The "Twenty years" excuse feels super contrived, especially with the legion having sat in the same place...for twenty years? Like come on. The NCR didn't just exist out of Shady Sands, yes the nuking would have been a decapitative blow, but the Bear has two heads, not one. The NCR is massive, with infrastructure large enough to tax up and down the west coast. This all just seems so horridly thought out. Not to mention the BoS just being a laughing stock.

Again, it feels like they're dumbing it down to match the East Coast vibe so they can make a videogame in the West Coast setting.

The NCR has been shown to be utterly incohesive, so yes I think it is heavily implied that they are utterly collapsed. Especially with the most recent episode, as the Ghoul said "-it was meant to die."

The writing is on brand with the loose "for laughs" style that things like the Star Wars sequels had, it's actually quite similar in pacing, tone and comedic timing.

I also never said "Like the East Coast" anywhere...If you're gonna quote me, quote me.

If you took the time to actually read what I wrote you'd see I was aiming at the themes of the games and the structure of pre-established writing. The brotherhood on the west coast has never had the sort of squables that are being portrayed in the show. The closest thing was the chapter succession issues with what happened in Hidden Valley. Speaking of, somehow the West coast got Prydwyn class air carriers which even took Maxson an concerted effort by all the east coast chapters to make(Just one). Whereas in the lore the Brotherhood is essentially dying in the west coast. Which ALSO implies that the NCR is dead/dying because it'd be the only way to move into the mojave. As is implied by the games yet again.

They're just revising all of this, it's so obvious.

Something that's been bugging me is how the Junk Jet suddenly turned up in two other places besides the basement of ArcJet Labs in Fallout 4. There, we find the weapon and a holotape that indicates that it was developed by an ArcJet labs employee. And so, based on this info, we're led to believe that the JunkJet is considered a unique, one-of-a-kind weapon that can't be found anywhere else. Then the tv show comes along, takes that narrative, ties it up, and tosses it out the window with the appearance of two more JunkJets, one being carried by one of the guys that helps dig up The Ghoul, the other is sitting on a shelf in that shop in Filly.

My theory is that the Cryolator was a top secret military project and the 111 Overseer had access to highly classified military data and stumbled across the schematics for the Cryolator, and used those schematics to build the one we find there in the vault.
