The Xbox 360 shop was closed down. If you already bought the dlcs before the closure, you should still have them and be able to download them. If not, You might need to get the Fallout 3 GOTY Edition.

I figured it out, the game has a built in shop but its the 360 and so it doesnt work

but the xbox series x/s store (outside of the game) has the dlcs on the fallout 3 store page

Fallout 3 GOTY Edition is only available on Xbox 360. However, it can be played on XB1/XB1X and Xbox Series X/S via Backwards Compatibility. Aside from a physical copy of the GOTY Edition, the only other way to get the dlcs was buying them through the 360 digital store. The Xbox 360 store was closed down in July this year. If you have a Series X, you can buy a physical copy. If you have a Series S, sorry but your out of luck.

Enclave's (the organization's itself) ideology as per 2240-s and later pretty much was very evil and outright genocidal. But also not everyone in the Enclave, especially those of lower ranks, were aware of the said ideology and all of its implications. That's not considering children born into Enclave families and knowing basically not much about the outside world than Enclave's propaganda....

It's very easy to say new vegas, but the thing that sucks is that you can see when you are going to fail, so you miss out on the funny dialogue because you don't want to purposely fail. I prefer fallout 3 because it is the most similar to table top games where no matter how bad you are you may still succeed and no matter how good you are there is a chance to fail

you should have the choice on how the ending of your game goes, in far harbor you can fail a speech check to save acadia and far harbor will just murder all of them because you failed a chance based speech check

Locking the ending of a dlc behind a speech check may not be the best decision then

My biggest dislike with new fallout is the fact that they removed a lot of the unique things like intelligent deathclaws,fev mutants other than super mutants,actually unique unique weapons

Intelligent deathclaws was a mistake, even the OG designers feel this way

Why? They were a unique rare species that made interesting characters and expanded on the effects of FEV on different things I think they were perfect

Also it fits the lore of deathclaws you know they weren't made by radiation right? They were made by the pre war government for military use

Also wasn't it Bethesda that said that not interplay?

Also even if intelligent deathclaws aren't brought back why not more unique FEV mutants like harold instead of the same things in each game it doesn't really make sense that the west and east coast only have slightly different things despite the massively different lore

I would, they are so cool and provide what I think is a very brutal story for Goris and those around him. If there were settlements filled with them I'd maybe have issues, but it was a one off that basically went extinct, leaving Goris alone as the sole member of an intelligent race. I´d personally say 3 (GOTY for the dlcs) and then just go in release order, then do the OGs when you finish the modern releases

I think that is totally valid and won't be a jerk about it. I will be real with you though, and say if your goal is to remaster it and get it running to a certain point, letting keeping a save file hold you back will almost certainly cause you to fail. Nothing is going to fit 100% of your criteria it sounds like, just an old game fam.

If you have the knowledge I do suppose you could work on a mod for it yourself, but I'm not sure what your level of tech is, I know I could not do it lol

For the followers you could try leaving them at your house / dismiss them for now (won't explain why but there are other good reasons to do that right now) and for the key talk to mcready, may have to repeat lines of dialogue you've already done before

According to How Long To Beat, the main stories are about the same length but 4 has ~20 hours more of side content. Both are very story heavy experiences so if that's the deciding factor for which you play or play first, I would say go with which vibe and aesthetic seems like it would click more with you. I would recommend playing both at some point though as they're both great!

fallout 3 has nothing to do after the side quests.

In NV you can max out all of your skills and make a collection of unique items that arent just renames.

In fallout 4 you can build up your settlements and do radiant quests to level up and max out everything.

In 76 you can grind for the best gear for your playstyle, get to level 300 for all of the legendary card slots, do daily quests for reputation with the 2 factions that have reputation features, do events, do the season pass, do expeditions, buy stuff from the atom shop (you can actually get the currency for free unlike 4), build your CAMP, and probably more I cant remember

I do agree Fallout 3 suffers from that like after quests usually npcs have no dialogue in Fallout 3 like you weren't expected to talk to them.

Especially when a lot of towns are limited on npcs due to Gamebryo not having much to interact with in the world hurts fallout 3, in New Vegas you can gamble at least.

I did have fun with both games but New Vegas was the more memorable experience because it had a quest with more interesting choices and more things to do.

Yesterday was my first day using my HyperX Clutch Wireless controller with Fallout 3 on PC, and it worked like a charm. No issues at all—Steam recognized it, and the game detected it right away. However, today, even though Steam detects the controller (it lights up and shows up in Big Picture), it’s not being recognized in the game. I’ve tried troubleshooting, but no luck so far.

Here’s what I’ve already tried:

Steam Settings: Verified that Steam recognizes the controller and I’ve tried adjusting the controller configuration.
Checked Controller in Windows: Used joy.cpl to confirm the controller is detected by Windows.
Controller Configuration in Fallout 3: I added bUseJoystick=1 in the FalloutPrefs.ini file under the [Controls] section, but the game still won’t recognize the controller.
Tried Disabling Steam Input: Disabled Steam Input in the Steam settings and ran the game, but the issue persists.
Rebooted and Reconnected: Rebooted both my system and Steam, reconnected the controller, but the problem remains.
I’m at a bit of a loss here, since it worked perfectly fine just yesterday! Any suggestions or solutions would be much appreciated.

I’d argue that there’s kind of a sequence like this with the hunter in starfield… but it just feels like the technology isn’t there to actually have a meaningful cutscene like that play out. The animation of the hunter letting go of Walter is so stiff and anyone he kills is off screen

Basically the hunter slowly hunts down and kills everyone, and when he breaks into the games ‘lodge’/‘home base’, the sequence playing out is supposed to feel tense and scary, like you need to run away, but it didn’t convey that to me at all. Then you find out he killed whichever companion you decided to leave behind, and it seems like it’s supposed to be a super emotionally impactful sequence, but it just… wasn’t for me.

Love and hate is top tier, but if you're gonna use the KO effect weapons maker sure you got some perks that increase attack speed for DPS (Slayer, Ain't like that now though needs bad karma, Melee hacker).

I have a game clip of me moseying up to a legionary while they cower in fear, then they start to run away and I spam them full of vats, character uppercuts their head off of their body but it stands motionless against the wall

Deathclaws still be murking me in the wastes, so I had to rebuild my unarmed character and got the implant GRX, slows down everything makes it ez

I only learned really recently that implant GRX was its own effect and not something that let you take chems with no chance of addiction a certain amount of times

After I learned that, I really wished I had thought to try and use it earlier lol

I’ve made lots of rushing water too but honestly I mostly used it to decorate my lucky 38 after eating mr house

One thing about fo3 that doesn’t happen in fo4… your character has a max level. I got so used to hearing ‘chaching, chaching, chaching’ with every single kill and only when I reached the max level of 30 did I notice how uncanny it feels when that sound stops playing

It gives me the same feeling as after you’ve gone on a rampage in cyberpunk, and there’s just this low, droning ambient that fills your ears as you pillage the bodies… wish fallout had that same feeling more often

The whole chaching sound effect becomes grating on the ears eventually if I focus on it
