I enjoyed Starfield, though the exploration being as lackluster as it is, it certainly drained my desire to play it.

At the end of the day, the sidequests and factions just ugh, no appeal. And exploration was boring AF.. since you get nothing unique from it. There's just no point at all.

F4 at least has some cool bobbleheads, magazines and stuff.. like the Atom Cats.

I felt Starfield had zero reason to do anything but chase quest markers and quick travel.

Even without mods/CC content, the game is prone to crashing on xbox due to coding being messed up during the creation club being released.

Hm.. maybe. I did a thorough F4 survival run on my X not too long ago. There was the occasional crash, but I saved and restarted the game like every 1.5-2 hours and that mitigated the problem

This is a common bug , most people manage to get past it by skipping the cutscene. Try hitting Esc + T as quick as you can before the crash Immediately right as the cutscene starts.

Other than that I'm afraid there has been no firm solution.

Here is what I have learnt by watching Youtube videos on Youtubers who know these things. Fallout 4 is an unstable buggy mess across all platforms, that said the Series X has the least problems as far as stability goes. Yes, unfortunately Series s, PC & Playstation get the short end of the stick as far as stability goes. The next gen update if we ever get it will hopefully address that issue among others, namely bugs etc, frame rates etc. Boston being a major issue for many people. Boston area is just graphically hard on the engine due to the sheer amount of stuff going on.

Actually the PC has the best stability of all platforms. The Series X has the best stability for consoles.

Stability problems on the PC always has been user error or using a potato PC.

A lot of PC players overuse scrapping mods which will always screw the game up. And some PC players are too stubborn to not use outdated mods especially mods that require F4SE. An outdated F4SE mod will destabilize the game almost immediately.

As already mentioned, guards don't sleep. If the settler is not a guard then it could be the position of the bed being buggy. If you stand at the foot of the bed looking at it, the left side (your characters left) needs enough clearance for the settlers to path as they prefer to use the bed from that side. Most times it doesn't matter because even if it is being buggy, a settler will stand at the bed for a while and just spawn on to it. So in conclusion just make sure the bed has enough access at both sides to be sure.

Just with FO4, everything else I play saves just fine. Went into starfield and then 76 to see and all seemed normal. I cleared the reserved space, the other was already empty and still same message when FO4 goes to sync

Try starting up the game and once you get past Character Creation and have control try saving manually maybe there's no save data in the cloud and your getting a double error message.

For pc. Click on game then you should see game settings. From there you should see verify game files. For Xbox scroll over to game click the button to pull up the game files then click saves then click erase all save data. Hopefully this helps

I found the Minutemen option to be the most buggy. Had to use console commands to keep the quests moving forward. Railroad option gives you the most to do. They actually require you to maintain your cover and work through most of the Institute quests while you're secretly moving things forward for the Railroad questline.

When it comes to being in a post apocalypse, the absolute main goal is survival. So I'm going with a faction with the highest likelihood of survival, so either the Enclave or the Brotherhood. Potentially the NCR, though they spread themselves waaaay to thin so chances of a collapse of some form are high.

Turning it off in the launcher only works for that session as every time you launch it resets to default. Use the above method to make it permanent.

I know for sure I can upgrade the RAM. Holds 2 sticks. Max I can add is 16GB. But I don't have the cash for that much power. I don't have enough for even 2 sticks of 2. I salvaged my 2 2gb ram sticks from previous laptops of mine. But my primary concern is disk. I'm not exactly a tech wizard and so I'm not exactly certain on what disk is supposed to be on task manager but it's always at 80% or so. But from what I've looked up it appears to be I have a slower SSD than what's requested by the pc's current use. As in I need to get myself something with a faster read and write speed in order to get the most bang for my buck.

i did do a legendary only run of the game and ended up with a full set of bolstering armour making me almost completely invincible at low health. but there is a cap, it is just not well nerfed.

Speculation is that ES6 will release only on next gen xbox and pc. That's probably some time around 2026-2028. Now go 6 years down the line from that, because that's kind of what Todd is telling us, that each game now takes 6 years to make and they don't truly ramp up on the next until currently being worked on is out.

So if we sat 2027 for next gen console and ES6, then we're at 2033'ish for Fallout 5
