since it is streaming, you dont need to have a gaming pc. you stream off a xbox / xbox server. its like watching netflix. it honestly runs great too. you cant really tell. in fact a gaming pc makes really no difference at all. but you would need to have a controller for your pc.

its probably alot more affordable than trying to find a working xbox 360. at least if you just want to play for a few months to scratch the itch. also you might be able to get some discounts as a first time subscriber and get it for cheaper than 15 a month.

you used to just buy full games, with those, a lot of the time, you start out with a half empty game where slooowly they dribble you in content, sometimes paid, sometimes not, so instead of a full experience from the getgo, you get a halffinished product that only slowly becomes interesting

my hope for the new game is not completely lost, but im skeptical is all

If it's done well it won't be an issue at all, most of the time it's only a problem when the player feels it isn't fair, restricting or backing you into a corner until you pay up

yes, but taking for example halo infinite
mechanicaly, its a great game
but, on release, it was completely barren of content, and still to this day is lacking a lot of what the pervious titles in the series had, and got boring after 2-3months, when before, we played a halo game for years on end

Halo doesn't really have the setup for players to create content though? Skate kind of is in a unique position to be able to let players make a lot of content

player created content using the forge was a critical part of halo 3 and onwards. it greatly boosted the community and extended the lifespan of the game. but it got cut in the recent f2p game, and that definitely played a major role in the games low player base. player build content is gonna be a major focus of skate so that’s not the concern here, i think people are more worried about single player content, challenges, and story being cut in order to focus on the multiplayer features.
