yall, sorry if this is already suggested, but would be amazing if skate 4 had custom deck sizes because for example i ride 8.75 and i would love to sesh with a bigger deck than the standard 7.75 in skate 4. People might think that the deck size doesn’t rly affect on the gameplay but it actually does alot for them who skates bigger decks irl, it gives a completely different feeling and makes tricks look more buttery if done right. And as a miniramp madman i skate alot of quarterpipes in skate game aswell so really would love to see being able to pick a diff size of deck

yeah i see your point but it’s actually noticeable, i know it’s kinda hard to understand but for example in true skate (mobile skate game), when you compare normal deck and the oldschool one you’ll notice that tricks really do have the different sense even tho it would only be a visual thing

because i play the game (sk3) so realistic and i usually slide off from smith grinds instead of popping and the bigger deck would bring the steeziness to that playstyle

In 1998 two animated movies were in production at the same time, about ants. You had "A Bugs Life", & "Antz". Both were mediocre at best. Had they have teamed up & out their ideas together it could have worked. It feels similar with XL & Session. Separately they are "ok", certainly not as fun as the Skate series and don't offer as much playability. Had they have joined forces then they might have made one hell of a skating game. But we at least can be appreciative that they decided to make a skating game, perhaps its hype at the time is what pursuaded EA to finally give us this new Skate game.

The Skate pre-pre-etc etc video looked too interesting to miss out on.. but it had a little bit of the feeling of Riders Republic, when they all came flying, and that is one of the worst and most stupid games I bought from UBI even.. but the rest looked damn nice overall

There’s some good idea in the way riders republic use his massive open world in my opinion, but like you i didn’t like the funny artistic direction of the game

It had potential in the way that it had so many disciplines.. but as I mainly wanted to snowboard, and the 2 types of snowboards had different tricks, it turned out to be the worst part of the game (compared to the old ancient Steep even), and some of the biking were fun a while, but one could never ever pick up a daily bike tricking challenge, as no one played that part, since the bikes also had different sets of skills, and there were usually just one surefire go-to combo that one could score big with, while landing more or less still alive

People have asked for lots of glitches already, new ones even.
The old ones (from Skate 3 at least) were.. mildly fun at times at best, but it felt it took away from the skating part, and the for it's time quite realistic controls and overall skating. There is realism and there is fun.. it doesn't mean it can't be combined.
The Skate games usually were (and still is) mostly pure fun, while staying semi-realistic (more so for it's time)
Now a heavily modded SXL and/or (probably a soon finished) Session will mainly focus on the realism, giving the 'fun' part landing a line that contains more than 5 tricks without breaking the game or the realism or getting a stroke trying, while Skate (4) seems to go for good looking fun, and maybe even decently realistic physics.. with some over the top stuff that probably caters to a lot of people.
Easter eggs or re-introduced glitches can be both fun and horrible, well the Easter eggs probably wouldn't go under 'horrible'

No developer in their right mind would intentionally introduce bugs into their game

Yet still Skate 3 is filled to the brim with them, and youtubers have built their careers around 'catching them all'

Probably using 2 analog sticks to control the game normally uses 1 stick, triggers, and the 4 face buttons

Dual stick is what the realistic skate sims use where each thumbstick controls a different foot of the skater. Left foot=left stick Right foot=right stick.
Where in the skate games it's been more like Left stick=body Right stick=board (for the most part kinda)

Only issue with dual stick being added is it needs to be implemented for people who use 1 stick

As gameplay would be vastly different with possible disadvantages and advantages coming from the 2 play styles

Realistically it won't happen imo

Mm I don’t think it’s ever been a sim, after years of THPS the flickit controls seemed a lot closer to real skating than just mashing buttons but it’s always had an element of arcade to it, which I think is the perfect balance

I think It’d just be cool to have both options. Personally I find some tricks easier with dual sticks. Like I’m not the best skate player and I always sucked with nailing tre flips but with dual sticks it became easier. Maybe like a legacy & dual stick option.
