I think it's good they announced it as early in the process as they did let's the community be some part of it throughout it's entire development stages. And everyone knows how much effort goes in.

I feel that's a miscommunication point that a lot get caught up on.

"You can say you signed up"

I think a lot mistakenly take it to mean that you can say you were actionably signed up to join and play a specific test and was let in/invited.

But it actually means you can say that you signed up to be a skate.insider and possibly get the chance to test/be selected and nothing more past that.

It's made clearer with the EA play.testing site that you can say you are a play.tester but not what you play.testing.

But since you are initially signing up via the skate.insider specifically for skate, a lot of people miss or overlook the connection with the rest of the EA play.testing stuff and think that there's only one game being play.tested opening up to mean they can say they are in and doing more than actually is allowed to say they are doing

more than likely. the free to play model doesnt have much room for offline, atleast in this genre.

Idk and I can't say for sure but based on the context that people keep asking about this, my educated guess is it's part of the adaptive controller input options to make gaming more accessible for people with disabilities and/or missing limbs.

It allows you to have an extra hookup attached to it to make it easier to make inputs in an alternative method to the standard button press on a controller.

Some people use them just as a quicker/easier way to press a button with better timing than having to move your hand faster or do a weird grip with your controller trying to hit multiple buttons. Kinda like paddles do on controllers

Probably will be, they've kept the Flick-It system from the old games, and apart from MAYBE a few new buttons for new mechanics (unconfirmed, just speculating), it should be like picking up and playing a Skate 3 that's a good 10 or more years newer
