I think it's more of a way for artists to incorporate their art into the game, support said artists and by the dev / EA taking a cut be a more profitable game in the eyes of EA and keep funding longer. Of course not hide all decks and clothes behind this. In markets like this 90%+ of the custom skins end up under 5 cents and trade at massive volumes.

I agree let artists and community create art in game. The part that is objectively bad is assigning real world dollars via NFT, and creating a market for them. Artist could still make royalties from the sales of their art without it being paid in crypto.

There's really no value to it and if you want proof look at all the people getting their NFTs stolen which a centralized service would be able to prevent

I do think allowing custom or community driven art is a great idea and should be seriously looked into being added to game. That, or like board art contest that is community voted. Just sell it for like 5 or 10 bucks, and cut the artist in on a portion of the sales.
