The best thing to do is not to interact with tokens sent from scam addresses. Simply avoid adding their contract to your MM to prevent accidental interactions. However, wallet drainage typically occurs when attempting to interact through the actual phishing site.

All signs point to legit. You applied to the creator thing? You got an email about it. The link is probably just so you can use it to then get ācreditā for your marketing success. Iād think itās just a unique link to the main illuvium page or something. You could open it in a private browsing tab and see if itās what it appears to be.

Hereās the best way to check. Go to the illuvium website that you already have bookmarked somewhere. Then open the NEWS/blog section. And read the post that has this same information. You never need to click links from emails.
But yes. This is real. Youāll notice there is no rapid call to go and mint. Thereās a link to get the game from the epic store. But you could probably find the epic store on your own if needed.

Because you get to decide what address you want your stuff sent to. And thereās not necessarily a connection between email control and address control. Imagine you have an account that only has someone elseās NFTs in it and they had setup and account for you to use. Like a scholar or something.
Best practice is to ask what address someone wants something to be sent to instead of just assuming you know the right place.

Always check the actual address that sent an email. I got this scam too. The address is some crazy crazy weirdness thatās clearly scammy. This is the easiest way to confirm when emails are scams. However, even if something appears to be from illuvium after checking the sender still be suspicious of any links especially that are to some page for doing something on chain. Itās best to just contact #āāćsupport on the actual illuvium website shared in the bot post below (or on the websiteā¦look for HELP(?) in the top menu)

Guys watch out for DMs. They are scams and they impersonate ppl. Here's how to find out you are being scammed:
1). The Suffix (Illuvimod) and (Illuvium) are server based. Means they do not show in DMs. So if anyone like ( Arash | Illuvimod) DMed you, it's scam.

Also, most of our names are white listed. Meaning if anyone uses our names for their profile, they will be banned by bots. This means, there is always an inconsistency with the names.

PLEASE click on the names and compare. Everyone has a unique ID.

Turn off your DMs so you wouldn't come to us saying you've been scammed.

Illuviumās website is with (.io) not (.com)

Keep in mind scammers also use colored dots in their description to impersonate mods

When you make a DM it doesn't change the username, we have display names for discord and usernames for discord. So when you look at the circles he is making you can reference back to when usernames were made and created.
You can have display names for every server, but dms never change the username from the actual discord name.
