Interesting it says 100% gain for the stage 3. I tested it out and on average a stage 3 battle will yeild around 300xp per illuvial, but 900xp with the rare flint cap. So a 200% increase 🤔

Drones don't determine your faction. You get to choose one of 4 factions and at the end of the tutorial you get to choose one of 3 drones. To unlock the other 3 drones you need to do stuffs.

The first version will be just the core features. We had to do the weapons and suits adjustment so that pushed back some of the features. But it will be a good proof of concept.

I really want to have a Drone Augment called "Killer Cuties" which means that when you fuse an illuvial it stays looking like a stage 1, but gets extra strength. Basically I just want to nuke a board with Alphie.

I like that idea, Pokemon has an item called eviolite that boosts defensive stats by 50% if the pokemon has an evolved form.

But anything that increases the way you can play is awesome, you could even achieve this with an augment, having an atlas have all the stats and synergies of an axodon while still being an atlas.

Am I the only one who thinks releasing the game with so many modes is a bad thing? Gonna be hella confusing for new players.
League for example had a single mode when it started off, and added more modes as it went along. None of the other modes gained as much traction as their main mode, which would be Overworld in our case.

Having different GAMES is not a problem. Having lots of modes in each game could be. To begin with in Arena we will just have solo (Survival, which is a tutorial for players that don't want to play competitive), 1 v 1 (Ascendant, which we will keep working on to improve over time) and 1v 7 (Gauntlet, which doesn't require ownership).

League has always had lots of modes that they tested to work out the player base's feelings on different things.

The good thing with Arena is that it is pretty extensible and we've always planned these things so it hasn't taken too much time. There are challenges, but we think they are worth it.

The next region is so easy that someone unlocks it for you. It will be Brightland Steppes.

I will categorically state that WOW had far more in game story at launch. There’s no way we can compete with that.

It’s not about story resources but about dev resources to build those elements. We will add but keep in mind this isn’t an MMORPG nor are we a company with 30 years history and 7 AAA titles under our belt.

And it’s still a beta.

Instead I think people are excited to explore and uncover what the "world of Illuvium" is. Which gives rise to what it could be.

Warcraft 1 was nothing compared to WoW. But it laid the foundation and had vision. That and solid gameplay to keep players coming back.
