If possible to release a version of the overworld game to console solely just the game itself and non crypto related at all. Not even marketed as a crypto game until it has become mass adopted as just a fun to play game. If the game can get a huge player base just because they think the game is fun, when they find out they can earn while playing. There would most definitely be an explosion. I really think the marketing team has a unique opportunity to switch the gears on Illuvium and market just the game. The game is that good they can market just the game and get the traditional gamers onboard. Which every single Web3 blockchain game lacks currently. Illuvium hasn’t had an axie moment or a bored apes numbers, so they still have the opportunity of onboarding a lot of people who are maybe averse to crypto into their space. I honestly think this could be make or break for mass adoption of the game. This is just my two cents honestly but, I feel like the most magical part of the game itself is just that, the game itself. That might help you choose where to go find them in the overworld. The scanner is just to try to create blueprints.

The result of scanning on your Illuvium: Zero land will be to collect biodata for Illuvials, yeah. Then you research that biodata in the Illuvium: Zero game and successful research could result in blueprints. These blueprints would be used to craft armor skins in the main game for your ranger 🙂

Higher tiers are just stronger. They also cost more 'mastery points' to play them on the board so all tiers still have their uses.

Tiers are static. For example with ramphy, it is T5 and will only ever be T5. The stages are what chage, think of it like evolution in pokemon. Ramphy -> Ramphite -> Ramphyre are the stage 1, 2, and 3 of that 'line' of illuvials.

There is no sale for Illuvials. They are caught ingame and are somewhat unlimited.

You pay a fee to be able to catch some Illuvials by playing so theres no initial supply squeeze where whales can just buy 100% of the good ones and nobody else can get them.

Land ownership is NOT free money. You produce Fuel on your land (this requires active play to develop the plot and collect Fuel), and then you sell it. You also have to buy a land, so you have an upfront cost.

There will be game modes that are pay to win (Leviathan, for example). There will be game modes that are effectively pay to play (think Hearthstone, or MTG - You need cards in those games to succeed competitively. You can play for free, but the odds of you being a successful competitive player with no investment are.... low...).

There is also free to play.

Suppose it depends on what you mean by "worth". Much like land, illuvitars will have utility across all future games. What that utility is exactly (aside from being a pfp) we do not yet know.
