Iilluvium Overworld the main game is not a pure FTP game. there is a FTP area called T0 . however to access T1- T5 there will be recurring travel and equipment fees . The official and specific prices and economics are not yet known (edited)

The Illuvium: Zero Open Alpha is what’s coming first and the fuel generated in that won’t be on the blockchain. Just used for testing purposes.

But then that data will be wiped (except you keep your blueprints) and lands start with a clean slate when open beta launches alongside the open beta of the main Illuvium game and fuel production will be on the blockchain at that point… so landowners can sell fuel and earn ETH.

You should be able to build the scanner and other structures you need for researching blueprints by spending elements and fuel (not sure which ones yet, of course) and then waiting whatever timeframe the team sets for those buildings to be built. From what the team was saying, you may be able to spend ETH to speed up the building process instead of waiting the timeframes put in place… but you won’t “need” to spend ETH in order to progress, as far as I know.

Then once your scanner is built, there will be a cost any time you want to start scanning for Illuvials but that cost will be in Elements

Illuvium: Overworld is built as a Single Player game like Witcher Mass effect Dragon Age ( personally i think that is awesome myself ) With 2 PVP arenas which are the only place you will see other players when the game launches.

I love single player games so happy that for at least for a while the only other plyers you'll see are in pvp mode.

A MMO/ Co-op may a project in the future . Aaron has mentioned they want to separate the overworld and autobattler and make them 2 separate games . the over world could have co- op or multiplayer but that is probably sometime in the future

Not sure about that, but what I do is create just a random MM wallet with 12 words (which I don’t really care about) and connect a hardware wallet to that as a separate account. Then I just have my ledger as a key to that account and never really needed to add my 24 words anywhere whatsoever. Since unfortunately it is not possible to change a wallet within the staking protocol, the only way to have a more secure wallet is to keep moving your assets to that cold wallet as soon as something is free from the vesting period. Because I would assume most people have started staking with a MM hot wallet seed phrase and learned about hardware wallets afterwards. This process comes with additional gas costs for transferring the assets and possibly restaking with your cold wallet, but that’s the price for more protection I guess. NFA of course 👊

Agreed, makes logical sense for that order and those features to be included, and in most mainstream games users don't normally get see as many teasers as we do unless the full game is being released within 6mths.

In general the Beta's I've played, usually only help identify issues before release, no drastic changes. Any larger changes should be looked at within alpha. However I do remember New World beta, after which they delayed and made major changes, which wasn't to the general publics liking.
