I have been gaming since the early 90s, everything from , ikari warriors, barbarians, IK+,Bioforge, flashback, Xcom,The Dig, doom, C&C, Warcraft, starcraft, Wow, Cod, Civ etc.

It's only fair in the sense that no one will have much advantage by using bots to snap buy everything before humans have a shot. If you're priced out of land, the format doesn't help you out. However, all the revenue from the sale goes back to stakers in the form of ILV tokens via revdis, so the hedge against getting priced out is staking ILV.

IMO it's better to be priced out transparently and not waste gas than to be priced out because you couldn't afford $1k gas fees, and that's pretty much what the community decided when choosing the format.

My understanding is that as soon as a txn that will complete in a reasonable timeframe is on chain, the plot is locked so that other people can't purchase it. People have done various speculative analysis of potential revenue, but it's important to remember that until the game is live, it's pretty difficult to say anything concrete.

Will we have the same playerbase as Axie, or TFT, or will we have 100k players? Will we have similar monetization rates to Fortnite, or Hearthstone, or will it be lower than that?

All of those assumptions have some amount of error, and when you compound those errors, you end up with a number that (to me) means very little. It's mostly only effective in establishing bounds on what we could expect, which boils down to something like $1-$100 per ILV per month.

In summary so far: auto-battler open world collection MMO currently in production by two brothers and a team of remote working devs and artists. So far we got a working auto battler private beta and some open world footage and a well written WP and infographics. Current market cap $171M. No real model for future players/revenue to justify that market cap but common sense would dictate that you need millions of players to spend $100s each. Addressable market not only gamers but also pokemon style collectibles and not only the current game but an entire library of games will be launched based on the Illuvium universe. Meanwhile big studios are starting to look into the W3 space with their A-tier titles and you got dozens of other projects promising the same and dozens of failed projects/scams/rugpulls in the space and zero success stories. Sorry but thats quite a leap of confidence into two brothers and their amazing marketing department! I will leave you guys alone and keep following the space but for now I think I will wait for the miracle to happen first before I go in with actual $$$. I wish you all the best though. My heart tells me that 95% of you are in it for the money and not in it for the game or the development of the crypto space as a whole but thats just the way it is in crypto unfortunately. Some important things to take note of....

1. In-game NFTs won’t be available in any whitelist or presale— everyone can start minting when the open beta is launched later this year. We all start with 0 Illuvials and mint them by finding them in game

2. We do have collectible/promo NFTs available on Opensea 🙂 You can see which NFTs are available in the NFTs section on the Illuvium website, if you are interested. Link found in the helpful links channel Fraggy linked above.

3. The ILV token is probably the staple investment for Illuvium— giving you access to staking for Yield Farming Rewards and ultimately, the revenue distributions from Illuvium and it’s future games!

I think you may have confused Illuvitar with Ranger (your avatar in game).

Illuvitars are the profile pictures as shown above.

Your Ranger/Avatar in-game will be Arlen at game launch. The female ranger featured in the trailer, as far as I know. I don't know if the male ranger is going to be available.. but if he is, I think there COULD be a small range of customization options... (but not confirmed yet)

Hey Bossanac! If you're referring to the Gleam.io campaign, it is a raffle/giveaway. Each point is considered one "ticket" into the raffle. And 5 tickets will be randomly selected to receive 1x T1 land.

So the more points/entries you have, the better your chances of winning. But it is not guaranteed you can win. There will only be 5 winners total.
