Focus on fundamentals instead of trying to make affinity bonuses too early. You want a tank, a damage dealer, and potentially a healer/utility Illuvial most of the time. Position the tank to take damage from the enemy damage dealer (This means either front (no rogue) or back (to counter a rogue) ) Position the damage dealer somewhere they won't die. Position healers to take a little damage, but not too much, so they get omega faster to heal the tank/themself/the damage dealer.
