• Main problem: It's really easy to forget about them, they get buried under new twitter notifications very quickly (especially as there's no "watch later" queue on twitter
• They're also clunky to listen back to, e.g. if you need to pause and don't resume for a while it starts from the beginning again (they also don't work with headphone pause button as YouTube/Spotify do, but that might just be my phone)

This is a "play and earn" game, not necessarily play TO earn.

People will be playing Illuvium because it's fun.

Just like people pay for LoL characters and never get anything back.

There will be some in-game rewards paid in ILV (maybe sILV2 as well, pending an IIP approval). It's not yet knowing what we will need to do for these rewards.

Fuel is required for players to travel, cure shards (pokéballs) and capture Illuvials etc.

Iilluvium the main game is not a pure FTP game. there is a FTP area called T0 . however to access T1- T5 there will be recurring travel and equipment fees . The official and specific prices and economics are not yet known

The current direction looks more like "Compete to Earn". The ownership of assets side is not guaranteed earnings, although I'm sure people saavy with markets will be able to earn that way. The important distinction is that the game isn't doling out its' own token so freely that it becomes devalued quickly. That's the trap almost all other blockchain games fall into.
