I did some calculations on what would be the best frequency to compound.
I've made a spreadsheet using the value of my investment and then calculated the increase in value during a year of 1, 2, 3, 4, 5 and 6 weeks compound based on the given APR for one year and the gas costs of $50

At this time, the gas costs would have been $25, with makes a lot of difference. It's easy to change that in the spreadsheet.

I got one question however.
Does the claimed ILV receive the same APR as the APR received for the initial investment?
I thought it would receive that amount, so I used the same APR on the value after claiming, but then as you can see, the APY from my calculations is way higher then the one given by the ILV website.

Any ideas on that?

Claimed ILV is always staked at a 2.0 weight for 12 months. It doesn't matter what the original stake's APR is.

The website APY is based off 12 claims per year, so if you're doing more frequent than that, it will be higher.

I remember aaron saying that its possible to do so but you transfer it to L1 then pass it to the person outside of the Illuvidex. Then that person has to pay fees to migrate it to L2 to play it. (Layer 1 transfer)

As you can see, ALL the future dates are unconfirmed. But with the information that is available, this is the current publicly known estimation of the roadmap.

While I understand that we should not hype people up for things that can't happen in time, the team has stated dates similar to this so we made an estimation on them based on the interviews.
1-week till PB (Kieran in the Twitter space AMA Tom Bilyeu), then at the end of that week he says 2-3 Weeks until PB (interview London Real).
Kieran states end of April if all things go well for the Land Sale (AMA with Paul Barron).
The Private Beta for Illuvium Zero shouldn't lag behind the land sale all too much, since the land is necessary to play and the price would drop hard if there was no utility for it for over a month.
Illuvitar Minting would go after the land sale, so we added up a month to give some wiggle room.
The private beta 2 is obviously inbound as Kieran is giving away spots to play to all the people he talks to.

Then the Open beta is indeed still being pushed for Q2, which makes sense to then expect it at the end of June as there is no way they will have time to release a full open beta to everyone while the illuvitar sale is going on.

So your point is valid. But all of these dates can be found in the different media outlets, so we just mashed them together into an infographic to give everyone a heads-up of the current community based timeline. This way it is a lot easier to find for everyone that is interested.

Just saying, we do not decide the accuracy of the timeline. We just pluck it from the interviews where the founders state the dates. (Obviously Kieran is getting better at not giving specific dates, so in time we will not be able to make these timelines anymore 🙂 ) But until then, you can count on us to put together the scattered information and presenting it nicely.

When you say gas fees are you referring to fees on the Ethereum network? Since the game is in IMX, there are no gas fees in that sense. If you are talking about in-game fees like travel fees and shard curing fees etc., those will happen every time you go to do a loop. When you want to do a loop you will pay the fee to travel to the region, and you will need cured shards with you to catch Illuvials, so you pay the fee to cure your shards.
