The only official way to get sILV2 is by picking it as staking reward. If you want to buy it on the open market, you'll have to use uniswap. Don't think there is an other way.

I think this does that period. What are the downsides? It typically happens where whales suck all the rewards and or the marketing isn't measured. I think there are two solid plans to address both. First, with whales, they're going to APE and it's going to be a lot, it's a free market though and getting their support/word of mouth will help in the long run. Being realistic and greedy though, if I'm a whale of APE, I'm not promoting the ILV pool because that directly dilutes me. If there was a threshold though of wallets, that should change their mind because the emissions don't start until everyone is in and who cares because even when, I'm still one of the largest holders. The threshold should also help actually manage the Marketing KPI, engagement. We assume most APEs know about illuvium but an easy way to test (as long as the rewards pool is small/reasonable) is to see how many stake. The biggest fault of this plan is for whales to split up their APE in multiple wallets. If I have 100,000 coins, I'll just send them to 100 wallets. Another counter to this is to extra reward the larger wallets. If you have 10k you get a boost of 5%, 100k a boost of 20%, 1M a boost of 30%. Also the more work, ideally not everyone wants to split it.

Why not lower the rewards, initiate a min wallet threshold before it starts emissions?

I am in a similar position. You may not gain lots of yield, but still more than nothing if you don’t want to miss out. Consider gas fees to stake, and also not claiming rewards as often as someone with a larger stake, AKA wait until they accumulate enough to be worth the gas fee for claiming rewards if that makes sense. NFA, and I suggest you check out some #🎨〕community-content videos that go over this in depth including calculators
