ALL of the regions have a free to play version where you will only get Tier 0 Illuvials and Tier 0 resources that can make Tier 0 tools. So you can still see every region without paying anything if you want.

F2P will not be able to compete at the highest level, you will lack synergies. think of this like a card game (yugioh or MTG) T0s are the starter deck but you aint gunna win a tournament unless u get some meta cards and build a proper deck

Yes, I believe all Illuvials deserve to be NFTs, because at the center of it is the art, grooming, texture, color, etc, that went into it. Add to this the factor that eventually genesis tier 0 Illuvials will be stopped when Gen 2 comes, it makes it rare and desirable to collectors.

The NFTs on opensea are just promotional materials and partnerships. They cannot be used in-game as all NFTs are caught/created inside the game.

I watched some Pokemon Arceus gameplay today and... comparing it to Illuvium is like umm... not a comparison. At all. Can't F*cking wait for Illuvium launch!

Yeah, I'm not a pokemon fan anymore but I was not many years ago. I got tired of the same game with child oriented mechanics. That's why Illuvium was so interesting to me at first. Finally a Pokémon with serious graphics and with a more adult target

I'd like to discuss something with you guys about Illuvium.

Dont you think fights to get illuvials in the wild will feel Way too easy? I mean, we will definitely optimise our thing so that when we enter a fight we are basically assured to win. Otherwise we might spend some actual money on fights we didnt get to catch anything. Could that reduce the fun actually?

I wont go in a T1 region before I'm fully geared in well xp'ed T0s for exemple. I wouldnt want to lose a fight in T1 region and lose money

Even if we're overgeared and leveled, for starters... we gotta chase down the damn things to even get into battle. In the only demo we've seen of this, they missed the first 2 and only hit the 3rd with the dart to be able to open/enter the battle portal. THEN we gotta pick a good team to battle to win if possible (even with scanning you can't see EVERY illuvial present, so maybe a high level Illuvial surprises you). After winning you need to pick the one you want to capture use the right tier shard and hope you get the capture. Supposedly even T5 shards have a chance to fail (and shard is retained).

Gotta ask you though, isnt it super boring to play Pokemon? I mean... you usually only pick fights you win dont you? Where is the fun in pokemon when you can grind to lvl 100 before the first gym? :o

Yes it is easy to play Illuvium, the tough thing is that you have to keep up with the level of the avarage player base to continue getting illuvials as their power + catch difficulty goes up as more get caught :D

I do hope the gameplay is fun and interactive to make the repetitiveness of going into an area, fighting, and catching worth it.
Grinding a pokemon to lvl 100 is just as boring as catching 200 similar ones, especially when it takes 1 hour to catch that specific one. It would be such a drag hah
Yes a run at most takes about 1 hour. I know it is not 1 hour to catch one illuvial.

The ranked auto-battler will certainly be more easy to feel good tho. There is a enormous depth to strategy making and I feel every fight can feel different since you interact with an opponent

PS: I never played pokemon

I plan to play both modes in alternance tho. Play some Autobattler, notice A weakness in my team, Go chase some illuvials to fill in my deck, repeat
