You dont have to buy ILV directly, most crypto exchanges dont sell it like that. However you can buy Ethereum, ILV is part of the Eth blockchain, so you buy Ethereum, then go to a swap, such as SushiSwap and exchange ETH for ILV

In the overworld, we can encounter shiny orbs floating around. If we shoot it with our rifle, it will activate and we can enter. There, we can encounter some illuvials. But, they will appear invisible first until we use a special function to reveal the illuvial. Lastly, we need to tag them, and enter the vortex with them, in order to be transported to the battle board, where we can battle them and catch using a shard.

It will depend on what you’re wanting to do with your investment 🙂 ILV gives you access to governance and defi through staking.

So if you claim rewards as ILV, you will compound your rewards and earn more ILV over time.

In-game transactions such as travel fees are paid in ETH. But if you’re staking ILV, you’ll have the option to claim sILV rewards instead of ILV. sILV can be used in place of ETH to spend in game 🙂

Hi Seize! There will be no sort of presale or whitelisting for minting the Illuvials. Everyone will start with 0 when the game launches and you explore the game to find Illuvials. Then once you battle and capture them, they become minted to your wallet!

Staking is not currently available— on pause as the team works on moving to the V2 contracts. So it’s a good time to try and accumulate a little bit more to try and combat the gas fees.

Lately gas fees have been $100+ so just keep that in mind as you’ll have to pay a gas fee to stake as well as pay gas fees whenever you claim rewards. You don’t want the gas to outweigh or eat into your staking profits

As far as I know, the tier of the Illuvials you're gonna catch will to some extent depend on how far you've travelled (i.e tier of the map). So if you want to catch higher tier Illuvials that are more valuable, you'll need to pay for travel expenses, curing shards etc.

The token migration from Go Chain to IMX has completed 36 hrs ago; 2. they still hadn’t finished interoperability or finished letting VeVe sell on IMX MP or opensea (the ones who’s license permit such); 3. Almost 2 weeks ago they migrated 3 million NFTs to IMX, which had its hiccups; 4. Not FUD just investor concern, being a fan of IMX, but this finally happened after 7 months of planning, since July.
-Other projects had issues too.
-VeVe tweeted other day AND last week that IMX was the problem.
-IMX tweeted themselves that they were the problem.
All I said, and idk if you and Kieran only seeing this one of a few comments I made, was IM HAPPY TO WAIT A YEAR for Illuvium, no matter how long it take you deem to get it right, or what chain. You can use the illuvials for whichever arena you want. Its just better to have high stat illuvials for Leviathan. For ranked stats are normalized so you could use an Illuvial with any stats and it will have the same stats as everyone eles's.

The answer to the first part of your question is usually yes. BTC, ETH and the top 10 market cap coins usually follow the same trends as a whole - then the rest of crypto follows. Lately the crypto market has began to follow the stock market as well. Lately the FED has been impacting the price of the world economy, inflation, pandemic these are all much larger influence on the world economy. In a micro view about Illuvium specifically, the hack of sILV and delays seemed to have impacted the price more or less -3-7% depending on who you ask. The larger impact is certainly crypto and the world's economic system.

If they have equal specs, desktop PCs are usually cheaper than an equivalent laptop. Unless you're very technically inclined, buying a pre-built is likely a better option than custom building your own unless you reeeaaalllly willing to learn or have a lot of help. Best advice is wait until specs are announced and then compare that to your available budget and make decisions from there.

Those are emotes in the sense that you’ll be able to display them or show them in some fashion to your opponents… I assume during battles. But it’s kind of like a taunt or flex on your opponent.

And yeah, once you redeem the emote to your account, you’ll have the emote forever and the NFT is burned (can no longer be traded/sold). This burn mechanic only applies to the NFT rewards from the Balancer sale.

That might be why you claimed 2 of them. A lot of people did that sort of strategy— so you can have one on your account but trade the other 🙂

Based on the latest messages from Aaron and Kieran addressing the IMX discussion...
If the Dev team is happy with IMX, and what IMX will do to scale with Illuvium, then I trust that decision.
These guys are not going to risk the billions of dollars value that will be dependent on a Strong launch.

So I am confident they are doing what is required in the background to ensure everything is up to the level of standard that Illuvium will need.

the difficult part when looking at the figures and such is that GameFi could completely flip the statistics
previous people who would never spend a cent on games, may now become regular spenders as they see it as a way to leverage their Grinding.
and Previous High Spenders may not do it as much anymore, because they realize they have different options to achieve similar goals.
so I am really excited to see how the data trends change over the next 3 years.
But for now, better to base it on previous data than none at all.
