Yeah, this isnt why theres a council. A council seat is voted on by the ILV stakers. So if you want to campaign for a particular person then theres nothing wrong with that. Just have to remember that the council serves as the guiding force to make decisions on IPPs for the betterment of the DAO and the Protocol and not for its own guild or self-interests. The community sentiment plays a big role since each seat supposedly represents the community.

Axie has a game generating income and has $billions in warchest...

Since then the price has dropped 50%+... which would likely reinforce doubt in those big names about how sustainable is a large ILV price.

With the game being released, and data available showing Daily players, Average spends, Market Fees, etc...
that will be a lot more powerful to take to any Investor and say "this is where we are at with 200k players... now imagine what we will be at with 20 Million players when this is on Mobile!

Whereas the "GAME" refers to everything that is Gamefied that you can spend money on. Land, Illuvitars, Playing the game, buying things in the Marketplace etc.

The Community are here and excited for the Game, they want to play, they want to catch, they want to sell, they want to collect... they want to SPEND Money within the game. and in spending money, that creates an Economy, which then draws in other players, and also has money going to the DAO.

Investors will not spend $150m in playing the game, just for the enjoyment factor.
they will want to see growth and returns on their Investment.

@agile tapir Exactly! This is why I brought this up. If we start to go in the direction of trying to put guild leaders in the council seats (for self interest of a guild) this may become a problem. So, to mitigate such a problem, maybe we could have a council (totally separate from Illuvium council) just for guild leaders. In this way the guilds would be able to work together if issues ever arise between guilds that could effect the Illuvium ecosystem. Like I said, it's just a thought. 🍻

For the ILV Core Pool, you just stake ILV tokens directly on the Illuvium website.

For the ETH/ILV SLP Pool, you first provide equal amounts of ETH and ILV to the liquidity pool on Sushiswap and then stake the SLP tokens you receive on the Illuvium website. For this pool, it's recommended to read up on "Impermanent Loss" as that is a risk with providing the pair of tokens to the liquidity pool 🙂

So guys, i have a question (newbie here): was trying to participate in the sushi lp pool. After wasting around 100 usd to pair 1 ilv with its equivalent of ETH on the sushi site, in order to stake it it now costs a massive gas of another 180 usd. Considering the amount of money i used, it seems like a massive waste. I would be using USD 1500 in pool, at a cost of USD 300, doesn't seem right. I know i should have waited. but what to do now? Do i pay the 180 usd? If not, i'm just risking the imparmenent loss now, at a cost of nothing

to move them you have to migrate them which means your tokens need to be unlocked. This is a great help to those who want to change wallets but I don't suppose it's gonna be a massive help to the scammed and compromised wallets.

I think you are confusing that with the Illuviary; the IlluviDEX is the in-game marketplace. The Illuviary is more of the pokedex type thing I think you are thinking of

I think there are lots of ways to get him involved, but there is one thing that got me really excited.

He is friends with the top guy who does spacial audio for Apple and while that wouldn't work for the trailer (youtube), I get goose bumps thinking about the first introduction to the stunning in-game world of Illuvium being paried with the best of the best spacial audio.

BUT, while the game will be free to play, in order to participate in the earning part of the economy, a bit of money needs to be invested. A full cycle of travelling, curing shards, etc. is currently estimated to be around $50 (this can still change).
