I hope someone can answer. The main inspiration of the game is TFT. In a standard auto-chess, imo the actual battles don't really have a very engaging combat system and is just a minor aspect of the core loop. The strategic element that makes TFT engaging is primarily on the long-term building of your team, in continuous competition with multiple players over the course of multiple rounds. If I understand it correctly, that system is not in Illuvium and it's just a 1v1 auto-battler.

Is there something in Illuvium that replaces that strategic layer? Or it's only the pokemon-like monster collecting system that takes its place? I worry that since it has an automated pvp, there isn't really much you can do other than wish you get matched with a team that is weak to the one you have.

I think there will Indeed have no way to change the power of your team once you are in battle, except for the spells you chose to make (which is already important)

It's so much strategy involved.
Here's the PvP flow Ben posted in #🚰〕leaks .

Things that matters during battle are affinities (such as water, fire, air and so on. A lot more affinities than pokemon has).
Then every illuvial also have a class which could be a boost/buff of any kind (such as more critical damage, health boost below a certain % and much more depending which class they are and how many of that class is placed on the field).

It's just a very advanced battle system that will be hella fun to learn. (notice the legendary enchantment which is supposed to be very powerful and can switch up the tactics)

Here are the 5 base affinites + 5 base classes which can be combined and give a new affinity and new class.

I think it is not normal that important private investors (because small compared to VCs) find themselves without any compensation and with still negative side benefits (frozen assets). I won't be the only one to think this and I think that as soon as you unlock your pool we will see a big drop in ILV, for sure. I'm part of the Lime of Light team which also invests in big crypto projects and has a large community of players, youtubers in France and internally many have lost money and will no doubt sell their assets as soon as possible. When you take the decision to refund 100% of one party of your players you can't expect the other party who receives 0% compensation to be happy... It's just a very bad decision.

Great transparency, security flaws are actively being filled along with psa's and release well thats mostly TBA. Shouldn't have many delays but best to be prepared should it happen. I trust the cofounders and CFO if it comes down to it to make PSA/explain why.

I think transparency will be the thing that makes Illuvium stand out compared to other projects.

Plus most of the co founders have skills that are exactly as they should be including one having some level of game development so I know that there should be some standard on a gaming background level of what the quality of the game should be. I think this could be a game that maybe continues on till the need arises for a sequel.

I've seen a lot of projects like this one and for me this is the most professional I've seen. The founders openly answer questions or make comments and are backing the community instead of just how they can make the next buck.
