to play the game you do not need anything. It will be free to play. You can buy ILV to stake. you can buy collectible nfts on opensea. In order to earn from playing some investment will be required like curing shards (making pokeballs basically) and travel fees to "payed areas" to catch valuable illuvials (nfts)

BUT, while the game will be free to play, in order to participate in the earning part of the economy, a bit of money needs to be invested. A full cycle of travelling, curing shards, etc. is currently estimated to be around $50 (this can still change).

You can mine the shard from the game as a resource, You then have to 'cure' it which makes it able to contain an illuvial. It is consumed when you capture an Illuvial.

We really dont know what the utility of the arenas on the different biomes on the lands will be.
It sounds like PvP arenas will be accessed through the central area in the overworld or just through a menu.
To catch something, you enter a fight in the overworld and then you can choose from the defeated enemies which one to try and capture. At first you will fight the free T0 Illuvials with just your character, then as you move up to higher tiers you will need leveled up Illuvials to help you fight.

Hello everyone, it’s been awhile. How are you guys doing?

Trying to avoid falling back into a bad place mentally. The crash didn’t help my mental health as you might imagine. Basically to sum up what I’ve learned about my anxiety through therapy is that if I try to sit down and relax, my anxiety will kick into overdrive. If I’m working and being productive my anxiety usually stays at bay. My mind is occupied it feels like it’s being used and that’s makes my brain happy. If I’m trying to take a day off or even just a few minutes to sit down, my anxiety kicks in telling my brain “we need to worry about this” or “why are we resting when there is 10000 things to do” basically excessive worry. The reason why the crash messed me up so bad was because I made so much progress with forcing my brain to relax. Making my brain realize it needs an on and off switch. Well when we were driving down the road, I was nice and calm enjoying my day. Bam the accident happens and now my brain basically is like “see I told you so. See you need me to freak you out so we don’t end up in situations like this.” I know this is a text wall, my apologies, but I haven’t said much to anyone in the Illuvium community about everything. My girlfriend devolved a little bit of fear of driving because of the accident and we have been working on her mental health as well but she is okay and overall we are both doing well. I did just start anxiety medicine yesterday and it’s definitely been an interesting experience so far.

I avoided meds for the last 2 months because I thought I could get through this thing called anxiety without them. At the end of the day it’s just me fighting myself why wouldn’t I be able to beat myself? Well unfortunately I’ve been losing that battle.

It might be really random... but I find wire sculpting used to help me a lot.

Very cheap to do, literally just a few rolls of different thickness wire.
Pair of pliers, and some gloves.

I enjoyed it because it is intricate physically and mentally, and you can decide if you want to do something tough using thicker wire, or fine detail using thinner wire.
I would literally lose hours on sometimes.

And they make for interesting and unique gifts for people

Basically you are just transferring your soft wallet to a hard wallet, and then deleting the soft version (thus removing seed phrase from your computer).

Doesn't help if your wallet already hacked

Right, well ive never even typed my seed phrase out and have no signs of being hacked so i think im fine, so basically i buy the hardware wallet, enter my metamask seed phrase into it, then delete metamask from my pc, and my ilv will be stored on the eth section of the hardware app.

How does it work with the illuvium website and staking?

So yeah, your seed phrase is super critical. It is like the Skeleton key to all your Crypto assets...

They can trick you into sending them the info.
Or if they hack your computer, they can read the seedphrase from there (dangers of a soft wallet)

ILLUVIUM and the Crypto blockchain recognise that your assets are saved to your wallet address.

Your Hardware wallet is simply the key to access that.

So you actually transfer it to the Hardware wallet, then Uninstall metamask to remove all record of your Softwallet.
Then you actually need to reinstall Metamask but a NEW Account/wallet, that you should never store any Crypto or tokens into - it becomes a "bridge" only.
You then connect your hardware wallet through that bridge to the internet.
And that is how you access everything

People think that their Tokens etc are stored on their wallet, or their Ledger etc. But it only stores the KEY to access them. Everything is stored on the BLOCKCHAIN.

And as long as you have your seed phrases, you can make as many "keys" as you like.
So the seed phrase is the super critical thing always

There will be a legitimate way to be a scholar yes, the specifics I'm not sure though if they are public or not yet. (Or even if they are set in stone for that matter considering the game isn't out yet). There will be a way though... I'd also recommend joining a guild, they could likely help you in SOME way as well. Perhaps that's where scholarships come from? Who knows.

A scholarship will not be required to play though, that's a huge distinction that Illuvium was going to make from Axie. You can likely play and enjoy the game for free, just wouldn't be able to earn as easily unless you got in like day 1 and managed to start rolling the profits into the game and got to start for free.

Yup! 🙂 The token weight will remain until the tokens are withdrawn. At that point, you must re-stake and lock for the appropriate length of time to get that token weight again

each staked batch /claimed rewards will have its own duration and weight. So withdrawal of any tokens or newly staking some won't mean anything to others. They will run their course to get unlocked and then you can decide what to do with them.

Personally I think this is a big mistake. I appreciate this isn't a popular opinion but illuvium is aiming to set itself apart by being a AAA game. A game with high end graphics, sounds, gameplay, immersion and features. To dumb the game down to flicking your finger on a 6ich screen and navigating blocky low res environments is not my idea of fun. Illuvium does not need to rush mobile as it flies in the face of what they're actually trying to achieve. Their whole pitch was going after and competing with the likes of blizzard. We're not going to achieve that on mobile because blizzard didn't achieve their success on mobile. Keep illuvium on PC as an amazing high end experience and offer other mini games on mobile to capture the mobile market.

Not correct! T1-5 can spawn in any of the paid regions. It's just the chance that changes

So if you happen to find a Rhamphyre on your first travel when all you've got is a single unleveled t0 and your character. Then that's just how the cookie crumbles

Illuvium: Zero is a mobile mini-game that will interact with the main game. Illuvium: Zero will be a base building game which will be staged on a piece of land. Paid land will produce Fuel ERC20 tokens and Blueprints which can interact with the main game. There will be 100k plots of paid land in total, and the first land sale will offer 20k of these plots for sale in a dutch auction format. Well if the game is running off servers they should be able to pull numbers and get rough estimation of what volume they can increase the land. Its not just automatically tons. There are ways to increase without just flooding the market. This also isn't the time to start fear mongering.
