In game, it can be used to pay for any fee (excluding IlluviDEX trades and Leviathan Arena wagers) that otherwise would be paid for with the main currency ETH. The value of sILV in the game - and for possible sales where sILV is allowed - will be equal to the value of ILV.

While claimed staking rewards in the form of ILV are locked for 12 months, sILV offers the opportunity to liquidate your staking rewards immediately. The tradeoff for that is that sILV only can be used in-game and does not provide compounding in any form.

Example sILV at $200 is more valuable to be bought than Silv at $1200 as the difference between ILV price and the buy price is what gives it its value there would be no reason on for anyone to "buy " it at this price.

$200 to buy a 1 silv gives $1282.54 " buying power in the land sale ( and any non fuel of player related equipment/ or other costs etc in game ) at the current moment 1 silv at $1282.54 gives no extra value unless the price if ILV raises above that

I just watched @coral dirge 's video, and he brings up a good point. Basically he talks about the pattern he noticed with P2E games. And how to watch out for them. After thinking about what he presented, I thought that maybe we should be (marketing) focusing on gamers. In other words, maybe we should make the whole crypto aspect of the game a back ground aspect. Let's not focus (or advertise) the P2E aspect of the game. Let's really make the game the most addicting game ever. Focus (market) to gamers not crypto. Gamers will naturally learn the front end of crypto (coins,tokens,wallets,etc...) by simply playing the game. When holding ILV, staking is a way to gain additional rewards from yield farming and revenue distribution. The process for staking is the following:

• You acquire either some ILV or some Sushi LP tokens

• You decide whether to lock your deposit or not (if locked, you will receive more rewards from yield farming and revenue distribution, but you cannot withdraw your deposit until the chosen locking period is over)
• After approving the contract (if this is your first interaction with it) you confirm the staking of the desired tokens

You also don't need paid land to play Illuvium: Zero. However, if you decide to play on free land, you will not be able to earn in Illuvium: Zero. Only paid land produces Fuel and Blueprints as NFT assets.

Depends on your goal, and costs associated. ILV gives you more staked and another 30-40% generated over the next year as well as revdis from land sale and all money going thru the game and DAO. Silv will give you some purchase power for land sale and for in game use only. Unless you plan on selling thru the unofficial uniswap stuff. I’m not sure what price of sILV is on there right now somewhere around 400 a token I think.

Rewards from staking have to be manually claimed and GAS fees for those transactions have to be paid:

• When you stake ILV yield farming rewards start piling up for you
• You claim those rewards whenever you deem the pile to be big enough to justify gas fees
• If you claim sILV you have it unlocked right away (sILV is only usable in game as a substitute currency for ETH outside the marketplace and the Leviathan Arena)
• If you claim ILV then that batch of ILV gets locked for 12 months and automatically staked in the ILV pool with a token weight of 2.0 for compounding effect
• New rewards start piling up....rinse and repeat

NB: ILV paid out as part of Illuvium’s Revenue Distribution have to be claimed as well but are not subject to a locking period.

There’s different strokes for different folks. That being said, gamers spend a lot of money on their systems/consoles and less on actual in game items due to most gamers being workers looking for a release instead of a money sink right? This is the first time we can give the gaming community a solid reason to invest their money into the game, they can earn profits and actually hold ownership over their unique items in game. The solution is not to solely market as game or to solely market as crypto. Both sides of this project are important and will draw in different people for different reasons. There should be no need to gate keep it, some people will want to play cuz it’s a fun game with amazing graphics which from all of our leaks we know it will be, some people will jump in because the amount of money they can make from their time invested can be astronomical. Right, no GAS fees. But there will still be the in-game transactions which will cost you ETH or sILV (traveling to T1-T5 regions, curing shards to capture Illuvials in T1-T5 regions). Those could still be considered "fees" by some, but you're not paying additional gas on top of whatever those transaction costs will be, if that makes sense 😄

What I was trying to say earlier was that the "gamers" are a solid foundation for economic stability. (A constant inflow of capital) It might be wise to make the crypto aspect of the game as seamless as possible. In that way the gamers will learn the crypto aspect automatically as they play. I was not trying to discount the crypto side of things. Us crypto investors will put money in and take money out, but the gamers will continually put money in. Once the gamers get the hang of using a wallet and crypto currencies by playing the game, they too will start moving money around. But more than likely they will keep there money in the game, because it would feel like game money to them. to be fair, the autobattler really looks fun. Illuvium seems much closer to the gamer focused game you are talking about. I always compare it to Magic the Gathering (MTG). In MTG, you open booster packs and buy cards ultimately to be the best in ranked matches. If the autobattler is fun enough, that is what is going to happen. People are going to buy booster packs (catch illuvials in regions) and buy creatures (illuvials) to other players, to rank up in the ranking arena. Both aspects has to be marketed. The fun game AND the fact that, just like magic, you will be able to sell back your cards when the meta shifts.

If Illuvium can become the "digital version of mtg" everything is perfect. The cash flow going in mtg is huge

The single player part of Illuvium is basically openning booster packs.

Think about people who do Art for a hobby, or Woodturning, or Glassblowing or Pottery, or Car Restoration, or coin collecting.

In all of those, for most people those hobbies cost money, but the enjoyment they earn is worth it (for both the activity and community of like minded people). But it also allows those people to recoup some of their costs by selling their older items.
And for a few, it may even grow from being a Hobby to a Side Hustle... and then to a full-time job.

NFT Gaming brings that ability to all the other gamers out there.

No more spending $50 on Fortnite skins that can't be traded, and are out of fashion in a few weeks.
Or grinding for 2 weeks straight to get an Armor that you level out of the next week.
All those things can now be onsold, at a loss, or breakeven, or maybe a profit. And that helps you to enjoy the next step of your Gaming and the next.

On buying their projects NFT their smart contract then got rights to transfer the target NFT out of the wallet.

Illuvium: Zero is a mobile mini-game that will interact with the main game. Illuvium: Zero will be a base building game which will be staged on a piece of land. There will be 100k plots of paid land in total, and the first land sale will offer 20k of these plots for sale in a dutch auction format. To be clear: the game publisher of MTG (WOTC) does not advertise the resell value of the cards. And WOTC does not buy people's cards. If you buy it from WOTC, if there was no secondary market, that's it - it'd be no different than buying a skin in League of Legends from Riot (they get the money, you get the asset, but that asset is illiquid). It is only because of the secondary market (card stores, other players) that the cards are fungible and still retain a value (or sometimes appreciate -- WOTC sells cards at a set MSRP always, which may different between their different products but is largely uniform. Cards and packs gain additional value due to secondary market only).

So to the extent that we are talking about marketing strategy for the company that is making/publishing Illuvium, is there an argument to be made that they should advertise the earning part of it? Maybe. At least explanation through whitepaper (and keeping the Fight for ETH slogan) sure. But the focus should be to make a fun game and that in itself will allow for virality and adoption.

Exploring a lot of others games in the space right now, all with earning potential, and some even decently fun, but they get boring quick.

There should be different messages crafted for different target audiences. Some will focus on the gameplay, some will care more about the earning potential. But it's probably not wrong to say that more players will, especially over a period of time, care about the gameplay being fun.

However I think they are correct to advertise the P2E aspect, because they are openly saying, supporting and providing the marketplace, for people to catch and sell items, which can be easily converted into Fiat.

But eventually once launched and running smoothly, with Fiat on boarding, I believe it will then be marketed to Mainstream.

People only have so much free time in the day to spend on a variety of things. Illuvium can expand the crypto ecosystem by bringing in more mainstream gamers than exist before its launch.

Yes, as I mentioned, you can advertise the P2E aspect to some degree, but even among people who are in the crypto space, is that going to be a winning message (for marketshare)? There's a ton of P2E games being built. It does depend on who (and maybe the devs care, maybe not) the intended audience is. Not every player is a kid who doesn't earn money yet, or someone who works minimum wage, or someone who is from a developing world.
I don't play Axie even though there is earning potential, and not because I think it's too expensive to start. I started Splinterlands (which cost way more to start earning imo), more because that game looked more appealing to me.

I cant withdraw my unlocked ILV or rewards because my wallet automatically connects to the illuvium website but i dont have the connection on my trust wallet and cant figure out hot to reconnect the two. Any ideas?

If that's strictly for Illuvium (main game), I think you got most of them. Skins are missing, as are Illuvitars.

External to Illuvium (main game), there's also the land sale, merchandise, and the ability to use the IP elsewhere (collabs with other projects, potentially movies etc in the future).

You can generate fuel and sell back. (Fuel is needed for all sort of things in main game such as traveling, curing shards) You can scan to get blue prints for weapon and illuvial skin. Etc.

I was under the impression someone was working on a proposal to put a portion of the Treasury's revdis towards sustaining the in-game rewards. Realistically, I think that increasing ILV price over time means that in-game rewards can last a VERY long time.

I mean, at current ILV price, we have about 1.1B in rewards. We could do $100M/year for 11 years.

Hello, about lands sale, will it be possible to lost eth gaz fee during a transaction, I mean : you try to buy a land, you will not have the land but you will lost eth gaz fees ?

yes it is possible if someone bid the same price as you and paid higher gas. Chances of that are mostly unlikely because of dutch auction. but still possible.

yes. that's why they would most definitely increase the starting prices, which will help reduce gas wars.
maximum price is highly unlikely if they increase the starting prices to the right amount.
