Hey folks, i want to make a proposal to increase council seat to 9 (from 5)

In IIP-8 and ICCP-1 we only got 3 votes from 5 members. If 1 more council member didn't vote, the IIP-8 and ICCP-1 wouldn't have passed the governance. I believe this is bad for the growth of illuvium.

Why 9 seat?

• From my point of view, this is the best number for now. To create more balanced vote and to prevent any IIP from stagnating due to unable to get 50%+1 vote
• Having 7 seat could get us to the same problem of having 5 seat. It is not sustainable for the next 3 months
• Having 11 seat is too much for now. Once the game is out, we will expand the council seat.

Yes. But your chance of actually capturing them is dependent on the tier of the Illuvial and the tier of your shard.

is there an easy understandable summary how value accrual to the token works, the dynamics? How is the loop different compared to axies ? Cause basically we stake ilv to earn revenue from all purchases/event.

So is the idea that u start free but if u want to earn more ilv , be more competitve , buy land etc , you have to spend ilv to make more ilv? So its basically a circle or is that understanding wrong?
And how do we prevent bots/players just farming maliciously ilv.

No. ILV has nothing to do with earning in game. It is a governance token which directs the gaming 'studio'. Think of it as owning a 'share' of a gaming studio. It also benefits from revenue distribution and rewards when you stake the token.

The play to earn aspect comes from the gaming loop. Where you can invest sILV (which can be obtained as a reward for staking or on the unofficial secondary market) or ETH to mine materials > refine shards > pay to travel to region > battle Illuvials > defeat Illuvials > use shard to capture Illuvial. If your loop is profitable you may be able to sell those Illuvials on the IlluviDEX for more than you originally invested. The fact that you have to pay to travel, and shoot a tracing dart at the Illuvial/cloud thingy and then follow that (which will run a random distance from where you shot it) to get into the 'encounter' to battle and defeat the Illuvial, the bots are overcome pretty easily.

You pay ETH or sILV to buy fuel. This fuel is used for everything in game (traveling, mining, harvesting, curing shard, crafting, etc).

If you play without paying at all (F2P). You can only catch T0 illuvials in T0 region. To progress to higher region and catch higher illuvials, ypu need fuels. Thus bots can only catch T0 unless they spend fuel which cost money.

The pay to earn aspect is in the NFT, you can sell your illuvials in illuviDex to get ETH.

To battle bots the price for a gaming loop is there before you have a chance of getting any in-game assets. This way even though bots will play the game, they will have to use money the same way players will. This will fuel the governance and treasury the same way, so getting money through bots still requires you to invest money in the game. "Time" has been taken out of the equation as much as the developers could.

My advice would be to spend hours digging into each aspect of this project and choosing based on your investment style. There's a lot of information to be learned here and it's ABSOLUTELY worth spending the time to do so
