The game will be free to play initially. You can heal your illuvials with Eth, you can do "runs" with eth for premium illuvials (basically a pack of illuvials).
Runs without paying will get you solely free to play illuvials that should not be able to be evolved. They are super weak, but F2P should have some content to keep you busy for a while.

The rewards that you get are always locked for a year if you claim them as ILV.
If you claim it as sILV it will be readily available but will only be usable in-game (or during landsale)
Your initial investment is locked for as long as you initially set that to be.

Before you stake that 1 ilv, you need to select duration for which you want it to be staked for. If you choose flexible, you can unstake anytime i guess, or you can choose to stake for 2 week and get it after that time. Also longer you stake more apy you get.
