• sell crafted items
• play the marketplace (buy low, sell high)

• earn some of the 1 Million ILV set aside for in-game rewards

BUT, while the game will be free to play, in order to participate in the earning part of the economy, a bit of money needs to be invested. A full cycle of travelling, curing shards, etc. is currently estimated to be around $50 (this can still change).

Yeah! Free to play will have access to all of the same maps/regions so you get a full gameplay experience. However, you will be limited to Tier 0 Illuvials (which can still build full teams for PvP and tournaments etc).

But paying to travel will give you access to more Illuvials (Tier 1-Tier 5)

The tokenomics of this DAO include a 100% revenue distribution (could be subject to change - DAO governance). This means that any kind of revenue generated through sales or in-game revenue is distributed back to holders of staked ILV. The same max supply of 10 Million ILV will be used for this purpose regardless of how many games the DAO develops.

Revenue distribution is paid out in the form of unlocked ILV and the payout is done multiple times a week without a fixed schedule. Before paying out revenue distribution, the vault converts ETH spent in-game into ILV by buying it off the market which puts buying pressure on the ILV token and thus supports its price development.

How many you buy is a personal choice, different for different people.

sILV if you want to buy land (which is an entirely separate game from the main game). You can currently pick up at uniswap for about half the value of ILV. For buying land/fuel/travel each sILV will have 1:1 value to ILV, thus giving you about twice the buying power of straight ETH.
Since land has no actual realistic expected value, it is again a personal choice as to how many you might want to buy.

Yes I know you can earn off ILV by having ILV, but you don’t actually “do” anything with the token, in comparison with say AXS from axie which is actually used to make new axies, so I still am trying to understand the value behind this ILV token, beyond just having it makes money, thus more tokens make more money

tier0 is free, and you can sell what you catch to build some funds.. then to go to Tier1 lets say $10 to travel and $20 in shards, and then maybe you can sell what you catch on that trip for $50 or $75 and make more profit

The one exception is that ILV rewards from staking can be claimed in sILV which can be used for in game purchases.

Yes, sort of. You get a certain amount of Energy, and on your trip you can use that energy to gather, mine, forage, and catch illuvials. Once your Energy is used up, your trip is over. The time doesnt really matter though, you can stay for 2 days if you havent used up your enegery.
