Collectible Illuvium NFTs are already available on Opensea https://opensea.io/assets/illuvium All are limited edition. The emotes and m0z4rt skin NFT's are redeemable in game. Upon use, these NFT's will be burnt when applied in game. This is only true for these emotes, skins, and badges as they were bonuses for the initial ILV token sale.

There are also partner sets of very limited collectible NFT's. Those collectibles are not for in game use, this is so everyone has a fair and balanced start when the game is released. You can find out more here: https://illuvinati.gitbook.io/illuvium-archives/official-nfts

Illuvials in each set will have a finite supply, they are on a bonding curve. As time goes on, they will become harder to capture. The main in-game burn mechanic comes with fusions. In order to fuse a stage 2 illuvial you need to combine 3 stage 1's of the same illuvial. It's the same for stage 3, you would need to combine 3 stage 2 illuvials. The first set will be genesis illuvials and once the 2nd set is released you will no longer be able to capture the first set in the wild. You can still buy them in the illuvidex / P2P marketplace from other players.

Upon use, these NFT's will be burnt when applied in game. This is only true for these emotes, skins, and badges as they were bonuses for the initial ILV token sale.

As far as needing tokens, you don't. But like you said in your original post, you can stake and claim rewards in sILV in order to use in the game. Note that sILV is not required, and any purchases made with sILV can be made with ETH as well. You can enjoy all gameplay features for free at Tier 0 rarity. If you want to then travel to higher difficulties and capture Tier 1+ stuff, you need to pay and that costs on average $50 (not final) for a full cycle with traveling, shard curing etc. yes. This is not a game that requires thousands of dollars to invest to even start. Whether or not traveling once then nets you enough to go again depends on our travel outcome.

When you travel to a region you have a certain amount of energy. That energy can be used for a variety of actions including scanning, gathering, battle etc. In theory you can even capture more than one Illuvial per travel but using your energy wisely and thus optimizing your spoils per travel will make a huge difference between good and less good players.

Private beta 1 before end of the year. It will be a small game mode of the auto battler. Private beta 2 hopefully Jan. And will have the complete package minus pvp (unless we are ahead).

If everything goes well the public beta towards the end of Q1.

Out of beta hopefully before end of 2022. Same for mobile but at this stage we aren’t putting any dates.
