No, only entry barrier for P2E is paying the travel costs and shard curing. Everyone starts with F2P in T0 region. You level your T0 illuvials and when theyre strong enough you can try going to the P2E regions to try and defeat the T1+ illuvials and capture them.

Illuvium Zero is the only means of acquiring Land at this point in time and if any land features would be offered in the main game, personally I would expect those to be tied to the IZ Land plots but this could be different via proposals of course.

Missed your 2nd message. Setting up a wallet and loading ETH is a good start if youre looking to do P2E. The game can be played F2P. When it drops everyone will be on T0 which is F2P and grind our way to P2E content. Another good way to prep is to read up on the docs available in the discord channel #❓〕faq #791148036935516161 so youll have an idea how to go about the game when it drops :)

Transfer fees INTO IMX could be a concern, but transfer fees are the cheapest of transactions on Ethereum network. Additionally, shard chains will be here by 2420 at the latest, which should increase block capacity for transactions.

It's a full on layer 2 ecosystem. For all practical intents, gas is basically non-existent within the layer 2, and the transactions with the Eth blockchain are handled on IMX's end. In return for the transactions they have to do (which are highly condensed), they charge a small fee on transactions.

on opensea illuvium have a collection released initially for early investors, all are cosmetic and there wont be an illuvium NFT that gives the player an advantage before the game is released. However many speculate these NFTs to fly in value with the success of illuvium as promo and rare items like these are generally the ones with the highest value when looking at Pokemon etc

!opensea What hasbi said is true. Most of the NFTs are not in-game, but Badges and M0z4rt skins will be cosmetic in game. There will be no in-game power available before game launch though.

Collectible Illuvium NFTs are already available on Opensea https://opensea.io/assets/illuvium All are limited edition. The emotes and m0z4rt skin NFT's are redeemable in game. Upon use, these NFT's will be burnt when applied in game. This is only true for these emotes, skins, and badges as they were bonuses for the initial ILV token sale.
