Also taking into account technology tends to grow exponentially, seemingly...we're actually not far from true deep immersion. (To the point reality could very very easily blend with fantasy). My point was if we can, Illuvium I mean, stay on that wave...and not only hit the P2E but, also stay on the very pinnacle of development, then I think it could be more successful than anyone even thinks possible.

I mean there's such an incredible amount of money in the future. Many big companies Achilles heel is not staying relevant and competitive, for various reasons. If we can keep that from happening, and offer a truly high quality product...I don't see how it could fail, ever. How to do that though, will be the question.

Oh no doubt illuvium has a shelf life. Best we can hope for is 10 years but that's MMO territory. Realistically we're probably looking at 5 years if the game is a success. The really exciting thing is the potential for illuviums second game to be true MMO. Hold on to that ILV because I've got a feeling illuvium 2 will be the real success of this project.

Yeah I'm not referring to the 1 game, I'm referring to the DAO in general, and just what COULD happen if things go very well and we stay in an optimal position. The first game will definitely last years, but because of how everything is structured I can definitely believe the DAO could simply become a Goliath that's around in decades. Just depends how things go. Could crash and burn too lol

Something I'm really concerned/interested in...is what's going to happen when "Neuralink" goes mainstream. Quotations because it's the tech that matters not the brand. Once that goes mainstream I don't see why anyone would play games any other way. It'll be important to find a way to bridge Illuvium's brand into that space in the future. 😄

So this was something I wanted to do right out of uni. I said 17 years on the call but I forgot I'm a little bit older than that. Then life hit and I was just too conservative with all my choices. About 18 months ago @inner topaz and I looked at some places. Kieran actually has some close friends that have a restaurant that is the best food I've ever eaten. So I'd say there is a high chance of an eSports bar in Sydney in the future.
As for when, I have no idea. We are still in lockdown. But if we do it, it will be amazing.

To be honest I really only have 3 items on my bucket list (besides kids)

1. Make a great game.
2. Write a great novel.
3. Open an eSports bar.

There's a long way to go on that list, but I'll keep working on myself. 🙂

Ahhh I see! That could be true but have you ever played RuneScape? All the players gravitate towards the OG players with bad ass gear. Besides fortnite isn’t really open world. Open world gaming is a complete different gaming structure then battle royal games.

Firstly, the badges out there are being sold by third parties, not Illuvium. Secondly, even if Illuvium were currently selling badges that provided nothing but bragging rights, why is that a problem?

why not just sell it like a fortnite skin at that point?

I mean, it essentially is a limited edition skin - yeah. But you've got the option to sell it or permanently apply it to your account. The fact that you have to burn it means that seeing it in game will be that much more rare and cool for those that ultimately decide to do it.

Exactly. It was given away as a prize. The badges and the other BLBP rewards were not meant to have value. They were meant to be fun collectibles. You can keep it mint in the box and keep its value or you can open it up and get your grubby gamer hands all over it and enjoy the fun but never sell it as a collectible. None of the original holders paid for them. Nothing but the mint fee.

You have to be staked in order to receive rev dis. (Which there's no reason to not be, especially if your goal is rev dis)
