As I understand it, In one case you are staking your ilv, in the other case you put your ilv into a liquidity pool on sushiswap and then stake the SLP token. The liquidity pool has more risk associated with it I guess.

A question I have been wondering if anyone knows if the answer has been said by the devs before. As we know, we are gonna catch Illuvials in the game. I am wondering what's gonna make an Illuvial unique and worthwhile to catch. I am wondering for example if every single Atlas Illuvial are the same (besides for holographic variants) or would it be similar to Axie Infinity with how every Axie has their own unique stats and advantages?

they are on a bonding curve. after each one is caught the next will be that bit harder to catch. Each illuvial will have special stats. Similar to Pokemon with it's IV rating. Some will have higher defence or attack

you'll need to catch different types of illuvials to build a balanced "deck" to have different strategies when battling depending on what your opponent has as well, limited supply of illuvials, and they plan on releasing a new set of illuvials every 6 months so the first ones would be "rarer" seeing that they can't be caught anymore (if all has been caught or are harder to catch with the decreasing supply).

The DeathRoad partnership is a decent test to see RevDis in action before large amounts of revenue are supposed to be funneled through and on top of that it is free marketing to a huge community where a majority might still be unaware of Illuvium completely. All of this with a relatively manageable effort on the teams side. I think it's a good call, regardless of what one might think about the game itself.

It wouldn't need to be exact, of course that's completely unreasonable but perhaps some rough data, saying this collaboration is bringing in .... revenue compared to another source. This may give the DAO more information and perhaps some new ideas and suggestions based on what is doing well and what isn't.

But just wanted to say, it's very clear that you're doing an amazing job and we all appreciate all the effort you're putting in!

I'm not 100% sure since I haven't tried it myself, but from what I've seen in Gods Unchained they pay a one time gas fee to move ETH to Layer 2 where they can spend it on the marketplaces connected to IMX and enjoy the low gas. From what I understand if you want to liquidate the ETH you earned back to fiat via exchanges, you have to pay the gas fee again to move back to Layer 1 since crypto exchanges currently don't have a direct bridge to IMX

BUT, while the game will be free to play, in order to participate in the earning part of the economy, a bit of money needs to be invested. A full cycle of travelling, curing shards, etc. is currently estimated to be around $50 (this can still change).

When you travel to a region you have a certain amount of energy. That energy can be used for a variety of actions including scanning, gathering, battle etc. In theory you can even capture more than one Illuvial per travel but using your energy wisely and thus optimizing your spoils per travel will make a huge difference between good and less good players.

Rewards from staking have to be manually claimed and GAS fees for those transactions have to be paid:

• When you stake ILV yield farming rewards start piling up for you
• You claim those rewards whenever you deem the pile to be big enough to justify gas fees
• If you claim sILV you have it unlocked right away (sILV is only usable in game as a substitute currency for ETH outside the marketplace and the Leviathan Arena)
• If you claim ILV then that batch of ILV gets locked for 12 months and automatically staked in the ILV pool with a token weight of 2.0 for compounding effect
• New rewards start piling up....rinse and repeat

NB: ILV paid out as part of Illuvium’s Revenue Distribution have to be claimed as well but are not subject to a locking period.

so the first "set" is 150 but they might not all be in the game at launch. They have a bonding curve that makes them harder to find as time goes on. then a set number 2 will be implimented later on. Dont think the complete design is finished yet but in future sets there might be a tiny chance that u can encounter a genesis set but incredibly rare by that time

It's not as simple as people are making it, and it really depends on how much land you get and how good the land is when deciding whether it's worth it or not.

Yeah that's another reason you have to really figure out which route you want to go. Because it's possible depending on how big the rev dis will be, that it'll be better to have pure ILV. It's all quite interesting.
