How does that work? How will stakers get paid

The tokenomics of this DAO include a 100% revenue distribution (could be subject to change - DAO governance). This means that any kind of revenue generated through sales or in-game revenue is distributed back to holders of staked ILV. The same max supply of 10 Million ILV will be used for this purpose regardless of how many games the DAO develops.

Revenue distribution is paid out in the form of unlocked ILV and the payout is done multiple times a week without a fixed schedule. Before paying out revenue distribution, the vault converts ETH spent in-game into ILV by buying it off the market which puts buying pressure on the ILV token and thus supports its price development.

• You acquire either some ILV or some Sushi LP tokens
• You go to: https://staking.illuvium.io/staking/core
• You enter the right pool according to the tokens you acquired
• You decide whether to lock your deposit or not (if locked, you will receive more rewards from yield farming and revenue distribution, but you cannot withdraw your deposit until the chosen locking period is over)
• After approving the contract (if this is your first interaction with it) you confirm the staking of the desired tokens

There is a VERY good reason why they are named what they are and it makes sense. You just have an incomplete understanding of how it works. The game also doesn't use ILV, but sILV... because that way stakers can still play the game. The game is an ETH based game, balanced around USD values.

This is to prevent the cost barrier to entry from being too high for most people in the competitive ranks. Stage 3 Illuvials are useful in the overworld as well. If you had a stage 3 T1 illuvial you may be able to use it to fight and then catch a stage 1 of a tier 2 or 3. This helps you work up the progression. Also because the Illuvial NFTs will be used in future titles Stage 3 Illuvials may have more uses in the future.

Just to make sure it is 100% clear, ILV itself has no in-game function. Eth is the main currency and sILV can be claimed as an ILV staking reward to pay certain game fees.

Land is part of Illivium-Zero a separate but related mobile mini-game. Land plots will produce fuel and other resources that will be required for travel and crafting in the main game.

Land sale will be pre-launch, but people won't be able to stockpile resources etc. The mini-game will basically be in beta until the main game launches, at which point all structures and progress on land will be wiped. You'll still own the plot obviously, but it won't be an immediate power spike or anything.

Not for catching, no. There's lots of info in #🎮〕illuvium-zero if you're willing to read the pins and stuff, but basically the main thing IL:Z land can do for you is generate Fuel, which will make travelling cheaper and may have use as a crafting resource. It won't make catching Illuvials easier AFAIK.

Oh, where'd you read differently? Land's only interaction with the main title will be Fuel and Blueprints for things like Skins etc. I've heard nothing about making Illuvials easier to catch.

When i said "catching", i just meant playing the game. For example, getting fuel and crafting resources would improve your gameplay thus "catching" more illuvials.

Well Fuel will be used to travel, so in that respect, I suppose it lets you travel cheaper. Someone could just as easily pay for the fuel to travel though. It's possible some of the blueprints are very rare, so you could potentially have a temporary advantage by finding a powerful blueprint and keeping it to yourself.

But again, land progress is reset on launch, so it will be a while before we see people's land impacting the main game by much.
