If you know how the current biggest NFT game works at the moment… it costs $500-$2000 to start playing the game. That’s pretty crazy. The f2p aspect is so people can decide if they like the gameplay before they decide to spend money on it. It’s not supposed to serve as a bait and switch or a loss leader. But I could see how it may come across that way.

The pay to get more playable in game assets is certainly based on a CCG. And not the video games. The real cards where you can buy them in packs and then sell them. Sure some people spend a ton of money on those. But collectors could earn back their investment if they are good at it. Anyways I regret it if you’ve felt attacked for not liking the model. That’s not what this community should be about.

"Triangular model" Yeah. I agree. The numbers were obviously way too high to be sustainable. It wasn't meant to be more efficient to set up 5 scholarship accounts vs getting 20 axies yourself. Luckily Illuvium doesn't have the malicious "Triangular" shape in the economy. Illuvium is more like...a Huge sphere, idek. That energy can be used for a variety of actions including scanning, gathering, battle etc. In theory you can even capture more than one Illuvial per travel but using your energy wisely and thus optimizing your spoils per travel will make a huge difference between good and less good players.

Just want to point out, the thing that's super cool about Illuvium isn't that it's F2P, but that it's going to be an entire metaverse of gaming. Tons of games linked together in a realistic way. Even if the game doesn't succeed for the first 6 months say, that just gives us all more time to play and accumulate things that will be worth money down the line. A constantly updated game, one that has the marketing budget this does, if any game is in a spot to succeed I'd say it's this one. Amazing team, amazing time, amazing crossroads of wildly profitable things, a game, financial compensation for being good at the game, free market interaction.

The biggest thing will be revenue distribution and how many people actually spend money buying from other players on the game (or just how many people do it all themselves). If it's possible to spend 1k and make 1100, that's 100$ profit in a game. That's more than most games ever provide. Mind you, phone games routinely get hundreds of millions of dollars thrown at them every year for nothing.

Ahh, yeah. Pricing won't really be available until the sale comes around.
There is no whitelist! Land will be sold in a Dutch auction fashion. So the team will set the price of each piece of land very high... and the price will slowly lower over time and the land will go to whoever buys it first 🙂

Not really haha. 5 different tiers of land and their prices are going to be set very high and become lower over time. Then people will buy at whatever price they feel looks good to them. Some speculation/hope is that Tier 1 may be around $1k but there's no way to tell until the sale actually happens.

That price is only assumptions. The land sale will be in dutch auction format, starts with high price and it goes lower until someone buy them

Appreciate the response... its an important question from an investor's point of view. If this project were to double in value and our coin would double too if circulating supply remain the same. You say it's "obviously" not going to happen. IF, and this is a big IF, IF it's as big as Kieran wants it to be, actually it does have a solid chance of it happening. If Illuvium ends up having millions and millions of players over whatever number of games they make, even if it's just 10 million over a bunch of games. If the average of all those players is anywhere near 100$ a week, that's $5200 per player, per year. Which is 52B. 52 bil revenue per year on the game is INSANE with 100% rev redistribution. Let alone how much ILV will be worth per ILV token because it'll be like a dividend stock. With only <5mil circulating basically because of the vault and higher management most likely going to be holding a lot of their tokens. I think 100$ per week is WAY more than doable, I actually expect more like 100$ a day as an average if it's possible to make a lot of money in the game through appreciation of rare assets or free market interactions.

I would absolutely throw 100$ and WAY more into the game, per day, if I believed it was possible to even make 10% on my money.

the land sale will be going live in weeks to come. Idk exactly when, as far as how much they go for I have no clue. I can say most likely T5 lands will be going for 1-10Mil. As far as T1 lands, I'd say it'll be quite cheap, hopefully under 500$ but idk I can't say for certain.

Look in the Illuvium Zero channel for all the info thats been released, but as for land release there will only be a certain percentage of each tier land released in the first land sale.

Beta testing will possibly be end of October I think. There have been no exact dates released I don’t think.

While claimed staking rewards in the form of ILV are locked for 12 months, sILV offers the opportunity to liquidate your staking rewards immediately. The tradeoff for that is that sILV only can be used in-game and does not provide compounding in any form.
