I don't think theres any benefit in staking twice personally, gas fees are too high

I just bought 6 sILV this morning for $1200, at current ILV value thats $2900 of buying power for land. sILV is a bargain right now, so it seems more valuable to take ILV as a reward. Just my thoughts 😄

Because so far it is just everyone praising ILV to the moon without asking who will lose money for us to win. The vibe i get is that even Kieran thinks that everyone will win money in those interviews. How do you feel about that?

Are you familiar with the idea of an exponential decay curve? This is just my speculation, but I think rewards could be distributed in a decaying fashion. As capital enters the ILV ecosystem, it increases the token price. This means you can give less ILV numerically, while retaining the same value of rewards.

I haven't heard anyone say anything about a hard timeframe for Illuvium, personally. If you have a link to something like that I'd love to see it.

A lot of people will be excited at the prospect of earning by playing Illuvium (myself included). I do agree it's important to acknowledge that there's no guarantee of profit.

If claimed in sILV, it'll be released to your wallet, though it has no monetary value outside the game

Those who are participating in the closed beta may be under a NDA (not sure) but the point of the closed beta will be to go through some rigorous test cases for the team. Not more simply "play the game" and show it off to the public. While I'm not sure if your second statement was related to the private beta tester question, I felt I should just put all of that info out there just in case.

I think they will take some profits (and i think its healthy for the ecosystem that they do, helps decentralize the ILV token holders) but i dont see them selling off everything, because they will still have a bunch of locked tokens and they dont want the value of those tokens to go down lol

but they don't need to sell everything for prices to pullback. Right now there are people that want to sell but can't. Essentially what's happening is all the sell pressure is being delayed for 12 months.

If there wasn't a lockup period, it'll probably go up slower than it right now. But the redistribution would be more uniform.

Somewhat, i do expect over the 1-2 years after tokens unlock for there to be some profit taking, and overall this will be opposed by incoming outside investment and well as revdis, how exactly it will play out with that balance really only time can tell

That too, I plan to sell nothing for the next 3 years, let the increased supply do its thing, just let my total number of ILV grow, stake down all or most revdis also, grow to compound and after all the supply is circulating theres no more new supply and the only way is up thanks to revdis, and by then we’ll probably even have a second if not third game out… and after that still sell none of my total ILV staked stack, but will take profits by selling revdis (probably not even all of it) im here for the long long term

What are Revdis?

Although it is split, I think SLP would have a disadvantage in terms of revdis as you will be half ETH, so you wont be getting revdis for that portion as if you were to in ILV core.

It depends if the APY of SLP would offset the opportunity cost of revdis if you were to keep it in ILV pool.

Another factor to consider are the rewards from APY in slp will be locked for a year where revdis will be unlocked and therefore liquid

Revdis is revenue distribution. 100% of all revenue taken in by the dao is distributed to eligible locked/staked tokens

I think overall SLP has the advantage, because even though what you say is correct, the amount of ILV rewards you get from SLP quickly surpass the total value of both the ILV and ETH in the SLP and those rewards when claimed are also received revdis (compounding upon compounding upon compounding)

Yep, looking at it. Not knowing revdis numbers it's tough. Plus, for now daily rewards in the SLP are stabilizing while ILV pool is dropping due to claimed rewards. Once rev dis kicks in, it may flip, but not for a while

Definatelly ILV pool because of just how many transaction fees you need to pay to get in for the SLP (i generally prefer SLP but i think the minimum investment should be 2-4k in that pool). This is obviously just my opinion and you can still do SLP, see how much gas will come to and evaluate it for yourself (maybe 1.5k might be worth it, think it through)
