That energy can be used for a variety of actions including scanning, gathering, battle etc. In theory you can even capture more than one Illuvial per travel but using your energy wisely and thus optimizing your spoils per travel will make a huge difference between good and less good players.

If this is the case, what is the rationale for this? As people will be ready to claim ILV much sooner in the sushi pool but will have to pay more gas than necessary due to an additional transaction being processed.

Upon use, these NFT's will be burnt when applied in game. This is only true for these emote's and skins as they were bonuses for the initial ILV token sale.

• You acquire either some ILV or some Sushi LP tokens
• You go to: https://staking.illuvium.io/staking/core

• You decide whether to lock your deposit or not (if locked, you will receive more rewards from yield farming and revenue distribution, but you cannot withdraw your deposit until the chosen locking period is over)

No. ILV isn't in the game you'll be earning and re-investing ETH to make more ETH or collect stuff. Stakers can use sILV for things like travel fees and shard curing fees, but otherwise it's not connected to the game. ILV is a token for getting yield rewards and rev distribution.

A big difference between successful titles are: competitive modes (esports and stuff) and friendly gameplay for new players (here I can bring the example of the sucess of LOL vs DOTA2). But in most part, it's really the competitive scene that drives a game to sustain for the long term I think

Totally agree with you. Got in love with the P2E model like 2 months ago. It was the dream of every gamer kid to be able to sustain only by playing games 🙂 But on one point, it is kind of concerning the idea of thinking from where to where goes money on this type of games.

yeah all of the economy details havent been shown off completely yet so curious how we will be getting paid. All I know is we will get paid from owning land and selling those resources and selling our NFTs that we capture in the world.

In Illuvium there will be several options to P2E:

• sell captured Illuvials
• sell farmed materials
• sell crafted items
• play the marketplace (buy low, sell high)
• wager on battles in the Leviathan Arena
• earn some of the 1 Million ILV set aside for in-game rewards
• …

BUT, while the game will be free to play, in order to participate in the earning part of the economy, a bit of money needs to be invested. A full cycle of travelling, curing shards, etc. is currently estimated to be around $50 (this can still change).
