That energy can be used for a variety of actions including scanning, gathering, battle etc. In theory you can even capture more than one Illuvial per travel but using your energy wisely and thus optimizing your spoils per travel will make a huge difference between good and less good players.

Second hand market will be key to make profitable the travels. But again, you will need to find buyers to finance your future runs. So the balance btw market prices and game farming will make the difference. I mean no one will buy an illuvial that is easy to find and capture

Idk about you guys but a 1-2 week delay on trailer or even 3-4 weeks would work out for you, mainly If you are staked. Chances are you’ll get higher APY for these weeks than if the trailer dropped and people aped in. BUT, while the game will be free to play, in order to participate in the earning part of the economy, a bit of money needs to be invested. A full cycle of travelling, curing shards, etc. is currently estimated to be around $50 (this can still change).

interesting. I've been pondering whether or not to stake with the liquidity pool or the ILV pool since I'm only planning on investing around 1k-1.2k.
So I would either buy 2 ILV and stake in ILV pool or buy 1 ILV and add an equal amount of ETH and stake in liquidity pool.
How have people found it in terms of risk-reward? Mainly whether that small amount can offset gas fees and IL
